Love is the most greatest gift you can give someone, you are not only giving your heart but your soul as well. Love conquers all even the most cold hearted are not immune, there is no other pain like of losing your lover. Hermione Jean Granger and Tom Marvolo Riddle, two star crossed lovers of two different times, one with the heart of a lion and the other the heart of the snake. Two lovers reconciled and fated to be together for the good of the future, but at last love has its consequences, in order to save the future Hermione Granger had to leave Tom Riddle and thus the pain was immense.

The one with the heart of the snake felt pain like no other he felt in his life, he couldn't live on without the only true one he loved. That morning when he awoke to an empty bed he found a letter addressed to him, the letter that would destroy him and render him helpless and broken.

Dear Tom,

If you are reading this it means that I have left already, you knew that this would happen and I'm sorry it had to come to this. But I had to do what I had to do to save the future...I did love you Tom. I loved you more then you could ever possibly imagine, so please don't cry don't yell be happy and remember everything we shared together because that's all that matters. I'll never forget the times we shared together and you'll always be in my heart...farewell Tom.

                               Love, Hermione Granger

Collapsing to his knees Tom Riddle shouted towards the sky, yelling until his face turned red, for that day he lost the love of his life. He cursed every god for taking her away from him, he cursed everyone who did her wrong and he blamed himself for not watching over her, or being prepared when she left. He punched the floor till his knuckles bled, releasing another bloodcurdling howl, echoing throughout the room. It was deafening. Tendons strained in his neck, blood rushed to his face, and flecks of spit flew from his lips. It was agony. It was raw despair.

After a long while he stood up shakily and pulled himself up into a chair at his desk, he picked up a quill and began to write and then folded it up, addressing it. He left the letter neatly on his desk and then stood up walking over towards the window, he sat on the arm chair facing it. Oh how the mighty have fell. He watched the dark sky and the bright stars out in front of him, he began to slowly raise his arm, and pointed his wand directly at his temple. He sat there reminiscing all the moments he and his fair Hermione shared together, to the day he met her furiousness to the day at the gala. Tom knew that he would have nothing to live for now that the only being he ever loved was gone, he knew he wouldn't be able to live on. Hermione had broken through his barriers, caused him to love, made him weak.

Slowly Tom raised his arm and pointed it to his temple and with one last sigh...he said the unforgivable spell.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Tom Riddles form slumped lifeless in the chair, his wand falling from his hand and landed on the floor with a soft thud.

A few hours earlier

"Sir are you sure this will work?" Hermione asked Professor Dumbledore, doubt laced in her tone. She watched on anxiously as the professor tinkered with the now fixed time turner. "I'm just not still quite sure how you were able to reverse the effects of the time turner to go forward instead of backward." She questioned.

"Don't fret Miss Granger I am absolutely sure that it would work now, I had some very special help." Dumbledore replied smiling slightly, his eyes twinkled with mischief.
