Chapter sixteen: Horcrux12.15.1944 10:00 p.m
Hermione quickly walked towards the hall where you would find the the room of requirements. She felt the familiar wall to the room of requirements and opened it, she walked in to see Tom eyes closed, and breathing raggedly in the arm chair.
Tom," Hermione called quietly from the wall. Tom!" she hissed again with more urgency. His head shot up and his eyes met hers. Hermione gasped in shock, his eyes were blood shot and wet with tears, his hair was disheveled overall he looked like a complete mess.
"Tom what did you do?" She hissed again stalking over to him angrily. She gasped, he looked worst up close. "You did it! Didn't you." She cried.
Tom's brows drew together, he looked away from the distraught Hermione.
She turned to leave. "Hermione." Tom just stared at her, pain in his eyes, desperation in his eyes. "Don't leave me." He whispered.
She suddenly felt very deceived. Had he playing with her all along? Did he still plan to continue with his dark plans? Had she not changed him at all? Was what he doing only pretending to be good now? "You promised Tom." She said quietly.
A almost guilty look passed through Tom's face. "I did." He rasped.
"Why Tom, why can't you just leave this behind. It'd be better if you just left all your dark plans, you don't have to do this." Hermione lectured.
"I don't want to lose you." Tom replied quickly.
"Lose me? How?" Hermione questioned.
"If I change, you'd just leave me." He mumbled.
Hermione's heart stuttered at the complete dread in his voice. But it was true she would have to leave him if he changed. But you have nothing to go back to in your time, here you have Tom.
Hermione sighed, mistakenly Tom took that as confirmation.
His eyes turned wild, a darker red even. "I'll never let you leave!" He snarled. "Never, you are mine."
"Tom-"
"No! Do you realise what you have done to me! I'm broken, even more then before! No...no one has ever cared. Hermione-please, please do not leave me, I am begging you!" Tom exclaimed falling onto his knee's.
Hermione felt her heart constrict. She went for Tom's hand and he stood up with her help. "I'll stay." She said before pressing her lips onto his. She kissed him with passion and fire that she had never even fathomed she had. She had never kissed Viktor, Ronald, or any other man like that. She closed her eyes tight, enjoying their closeness, his hands staying on her hips respectfully. She soon had to tear herself away from him to breathe.
He stared at her for a moment with a somewhat shocked expression as his chest heaved. She smiled at his disbelief before going in for another kiss. He moved her back until her legs hit the edge of the couch, Hermione allowed herself to be lowered into the softness. Without hesitation Tom climbed over her, pressed his body against Hermione's and looked at her with hooded dark eyes. He brushed his lips across the tip of her nose. Hermione's heart thumped loudly.
His gaze was so dark. Almost loving? He gripped her tight, kissing her gently, trailing kisses down her neck, biting her skin. She gasped, melting against him, holding desperately to his shoulders.
He groaned in approval when Hermione ran her fingers through his dark hair. Ron and Harry would be so disappointed in you she thought. Yet she didn't care, all she was thinking about was how Tom made her feel, how loved she felt in his presence.
A memory suddenly invaded her mind, the day he had tortured her. Hermione flinched away from him, sitting up. "I thought you hated me, you...hurt me." Hermione said suddenly serious.
Tom's features twisted, he lifted himself up sensing Hermione's change in attitude. He sat up and stared at her with remorse.
"I shouldn't have...forgive me. I'd never harm you again never. I was so angry...so angry about your heritage, that you didn't tell me. But that shouldn't matter. I was driven by jealousy too. I was in raged when I saw you with-with Lestrange!" Tom growled, he looked lost in his own world.
"Tom," Hermione whispered. "Tom." She repeated which finally got his attention. "It's okay, I forgive you."
Hermione knew fully well that he had tortured her and caused her pain in the past, but she also knew that resenting him wasn't going to help him change. She had to forgive him.
Tom pulled her into a embrace and nuzzled her head, Hermione rested her head on his chest listening to the rhythmic beating of his heart.
Hermione suddenly new what her new plan was, to make Tom Riddle fall in love with her, so that'd he change and see the way of his errors. But how do you make a monster love when he's never been loved before?
