Chapter 16

When Lucy woke up the next day the light, the sun greeted her. Shinning down on her and for moment she thought the light came. She felt wave of relief and being happy was with her. She couldn't help but smile. Getting up and rubbed her eyes. Before opening them again. But the only thing she saw was the sun.

She felt the relief and happiness she had leave her and she felt the cold wind hit her. Making her shiver as she picked up blanket and put it around her. She swallowed hard and turn away from the sun and walked towards the cliff but stayed back.

She couldn't believe she thought was the light. Of course it was the sun. She felt so stupid that this would get better. That there was hope. She walked closer to the edge but didn't go all the way to the edge. She looked out into the forest but saw fog. It was chilly that morning. The fog seems like thick blanket over the area. It was almost kind of beautiful in way. But didn't help her at all. She felt so helpless and mad. She hugged herself and sighed

She was glad she was alone. She nibbled her lip and got herself. She knew this was bad idea but people didn't help right now.

Lucy decided to write a note. To Warren not Sammy not really sure what to say but words came out.

Dear Brother.

I'm here to tell if you if you are reading this that. The light carries me home. I know you might be mad but... The light. it gave me hope. But sometimes I can be so strong yet so weak. And I wrote this note so you know it's not your fault. It's mine.

I get it if you don't forgive me. because I wouldn't either. Take Care of Mom and Dad please? Tell them I love them and that they have nothing to worry about.

Remember when you said to make your own light? Well I guess that means being away from the place that gives me darkness.

I don't know who I am Warren, and I know that even if I don't know who I am. i have to find it out. I promise I'll take care of myself and call you and write you letters.

I can't promise I won't make mistakes; I can't promise that the light will stay. I don't know honestly. But I can promise that you will see me avian. I can promise I will hold on to the light even if it dims.

And when I'm lost and scared, I know when I need my family the most it will guide me home.

She put the note right by him. Picking up her stuff quietly she started to climb the other side of the mountain. Which was kind of scary because of heights and she had no Idea where she was going. She swallowed hard and took breathe. She almost slips and hugged the wall closing her eyes tight.

"Come on Lucy you got this...just be careful" she thought to herself and got down to safe part and lean against the rock. She was glad it was really early so they wouldn't find her. She just couldn't be with people right now. Witch every step down to where the forest was. The steps seem harder and the world seem darker. The light that once was there in the world seem to be gone to her. And she was scared, and yes she chooses to be alone. This was her fault but she needed to do this. she needed to be alone right now. She just had too much going on and sure her brother did help but. She just couldn't right now.

She pulled at her camera once she was at a safe place that was at the side of mountain a little cave. She pulled at camera and nibbled her lip.

"Hey Brother" she said once she turned it on.

"I'm sorry but... I can't... I "she rubbed her eyes and swallowed not really sure what to say.

She took breath calming herself.

"I can't be there with you Warren, you're a good brother sure we fought but you're okay" she mumbled softly and nibbled her lip. Thoughts going through her head but she didn't know what to say.
