"This is your mission if you choose to expect it" Sam grinned and Warren groan pushed his friend off the couch making him fall but he was laughing. Warren groaned because Sam was always like this but at least he was having fun.
Warren took sip of drink and put it down. He laid back on the couch and rubbed his eyes.
It's been three days since Lucy left her room besides going to the bathroom. and going down stairs to get some food. She didn't leave once and did all her homework instead.
Warren was glad she was doing school work they missed and besides school she didn't say a word to any of them even their parents which worried her.
Know of them could get anything from her well alone. Now they were planning on something that would help her to give her hope. But they got nothing. Warren was home after school, while parents had meetings. He invited Sam over who didn't mind helping but he had no idea what to do.
"What are we going to do give a speech about how she should change even if we get her to listen" Warren said softly. He wondered if she should give up now. What was the point if she didn't listen?
"You're never supposed to give up on people you love. Or part of your family "Sam said getting up to get something from white fridge. He pulled out a soda and sat down next to his friend who was doubting everything.
" A Cat really" Sam raised his eyebrows. Warren was holding a brown tabby little kitten hoping it would make his sister smile.
"A kitten doesn't have healing powers Warren" Sam said looking at his family.
Warren open Lucy door and put kitten on the floor in bedroom and shut the door. He hoped that would help but he didn't really talk to her.
The kitty did jump on her bed and cuddle with her. Lucy pet her and pulled her close under blankets and smiled a little. She looked at the door and rubbed her eyes.
Sam sighed and got up and open the door while Warren mumbled that he shouldn't but didn't stop him. He waited outside the door as Sam walked into her room. Raised the eyebrow cause of the stairs were pretty cool. The room was not messy but pretty clean. He was still worried though.
He looked to bed and notice Lucy who was now sitting on the bed with the kitten on her lap sleeping. She pet the cat and looked up at Sam who walked sat at the edge of Lucy's bed not sure really want to say but said words anyways.
Sam, saw that Lucy didn't really slept well. She had dark circles under her eyes and looked tired. He thought she was sick and nibbled his lips worried.
"Hey how are you" he asked getting question right now there. He looked at her with worried look on his face as Lucy kept on petting the kitten. She didn't do want to call her yet.
"I'm..not okay" she said softly. She was kind of sick of lying. Instead of actually tell the truth she can of just stop talking to people. It seems easier this way, nobody got her and she was well not fine but here.
"Why didn't you tell us or talk to us or your family" Sam asked poking her and smiled because kitten mewed in her sleep.
"Because, I mean you're my family and friends. I just wanted someone to talk too to care. and I get that you all care but still" she mumbled softly
"But we do care and we want to help even if we don't know what to say. We care about you" Sammy poked her and the kitten got up mewed at him and he chuckled softly petting the kitten carefully.
"Does she have a name" Sammy asked as kitten purred.
Lucy thought about it, what to name the cute little kitten. There was names and there was name that meant something that fit the person or whatever animal she was.
