Kleo: Ending together

Chapter 7

Leo's pov,

The clock says 7:55pm. Am I too early? shit
But anyway I ring the door bell and it only takes Kate 5 seconds to get to the door.

When Kate opens the door I cant help but stare.
She is so god damn beautiful. She is wearing a long red dress and has curls in her hair. She looks amazing.

"Wow Kate. You are gorgeous." I said as I go for a hug.

"Thank you Leo. You're not so bad your self." she said and winked at me.

She locks the door and I take her arm and led her to the car. I opened the door for her and I was going to treat her as a princess because to me she is.

On the way to the restaurant I couldn't stop staring at her.

But as soon as she looked at me I looked away.

"Stop staring at me Leo" she said and giggled.

"Sorry, can't help it"

"Just focus on the road please"

"Sure."

When we got to the restaurant I opened the door again for her.

The waiter showed us our table. We were in the corner and there wasn't anyone near us. It was great. I was just alone with Kate. Like in the old days.

We had only been sitting here for five minutes when she tells me she doesn't want to talk about her marriage.

"Look Leo, I know you planned this dinner to help me figure out my life but tonight I just want to have fun and forget everything. okay?"

"Yeah if that is what you want."

"Thank you Leo I really appreciate it"

"Soo my mom is going to visit me tomorrow" I said, clearly trying to change the subject.

"Oh seriously? I have to meet her! I haven't met her in probably ten months!"

I saw how she lightened up as soon as I mentioned my mom. Her smile is the prettiest that I have ever seen.

"Of course you will get to see her. She absolutely loves you."

"Really?"

"Yes and she has since I brought you home with me for the first time."

She smiled at me and took a sip of her water.

Before I could say anything the waiter came with our food.

while we ate our food we stayed silent. And it with her it's not awkward or anything. It was nice.
We just ate and looked into each other's eyes. We understood each other.

We didn't stay long at the restaurant. We drove to the park where we just walked around and chatted.

"Kate are you sure you don't want to talk to me about Ned?"

"No I really need to talk to somone.."

"Alright talk to me then." I took her hand.

"He apologized and we had a great day together.."
before she could finish I interrupted.

"But what?"

"Leo let me finish for gods sake" she said and giggled.

"Yeah right sorry."

"And then the next day I tell him I'm going to meet you and he accused me of always choosing you over him."
