Chapter 1:

"Come on." my dad said
"It's our camping trip to , Mako Island."
"Yea yea." I'm coming." I said.
I never really wanted to go to this "Mako Island". I heard nothing but weird things happen there.
"You ready?" My dad said.
"Yup..." I said with a attitude.
"We're taking the boat so hop in okay?"
"Umm okay..?" I said.
I put my bags into the boat. And looked around.
"How long is the boat ride?" I say.
"Hmm about an hour.'"
"Oh great gonna be on this stupid island for 2 days." I say.
"Hey it's gonna be fun alright."
"Yea yea I guess.."
My dad stated the boat, and we went off.
"So what are we gonna be doing there."I said.
"It's a full moon. I really don't know what's gonna happen. There's a lot of weird people out on full moons."
My dads a expert on the ocean. He knows everything about it. The sea animals. The plants under there. Everything. But sometimes it kinda gets me scared there might be something down there.. And kinda worries me. That something could happen.

"Alright Iris were here.'
We slowed down the boat so we can get Out to the beach. I got out and helped my dad by Pulling the boat to land. So it won't get away. I got my bags out of the boat and started to look around.

"Wow." I said.
"I've always wanted to come here." He said.
"Why."I say.
"Because i heard mermaids live on these very oceans. And I heard there's a cave on this island , that leads to a moon pool."he says.
"Wow you know your facts. But I doubt there's any mermaids."
" you don't know all mermaids come out on full moons."he says.
"Okay yea right dad."And started to giggle.
