Matt's p.o.v: I kiss Carson's belly and head downstairs to the kitchen where Hayes is. "Hey, how'd the dr go?" He asks turning his attention away from the sandwich he was demolishing. "Good we got to see him or her and hear the heart beat!" I say not really yelling but excitedly as I grab the pictures off the counter and show him. "You're very excited" he says looking at them. "Well yeah I'm having a baby with the love of my life. Of course I'm excited" I say. "Well your young" he says. "I'm still gonna be a dad. I'm very happy " I explain. "Well that's good" he replies. "Yeah. If it's a boy I'd like to name him Ashton lee Espinosa and if it's a girl possibly Lyndon Brooke Espinosa" I tell him. "Cute. You've been reading baby books haven't ya?" He asks taking a bite. "All the time. I want to be as prepared as possible." I say getting a water out of the fridge, he nods. "When your done eating wanna help me clean out the spare room across from mine and Carson's?" I ask. "Uh sure, why though?" He asks. "So it's cleaned out already for when we find out the gender next month. We can go ahead and start on the nursery" I explain. "Oh okay" he say. I nod and wait for him to finish his sandwich, as he's doing so I take one of the ultrasound pictures and put it on the fridge and then frame one for our room, I take a picture of the best one and set it as my lock screen.
Hayes puts his plate in the sink and then we head upstairs, I check on Carson first and see she's sleeping on her back. I kiss her forehead and then get to where I'm at stomach level and stroke it gently "hey little one, it's daddy here. I just wanted to check in on ya while mommy's asleep so we can have daddy daughter time or father son time? I don't know we will find out soon though. I'm very excited to be able to hold you and kiss you and see just how beautiful you are. I bet you'll look like your mommy, your mommy is very beautiful. The most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I just wanted to tell you how much I love you already. I'll check in later little one. Daddy loves you." I say talking to her stomach before kissing it for a few seconds and then going to clean out the spare room.
{two hours later}
"Done" I say looking around the now empty and ready for redecorating room. "Thank the lord" Hayes says going downstairs. I chuckle and go to the bedroom where Carson is just waking up. "Hi love" I say sitting on the bed next to her and rubbing her arm. "Mm hi" she says smiling and rubbing her eyes. "Sleep well?" I ask. "Very" she replies. "Good. What sounds good for dinner?" I ask. "Mmm I don't know" she says sitting up a bit. "How about uhhh steak?, baked potatoes, and uhhh broccoli or Brussel sprouts?" I suggest. "Ooh yeah all of that" she says as her eyes light up. "I'll get to cookin then" I say standing. "I'm gonna shower and then I'll be down" she says standing as well. "Okay baby" I smile and kiss her cheek before going downstairs and getting all the things I'll need to cook. I start with the steak and I also sauté some mushrooms and onions to go on the steak and then put the potatoes in the oven to well bake. "It smells heavenly in here" Hayes says leaning on the counter. "Mhm" I say nodding and working on the vegetables. He helps slightly and the food is almost done when Carson comes down the stairs in a pair of sweats and a sweatshirt "it smells soooo good" she says. I smile and start fixing plates for us. We eat and Carson practically moans over the food. "Bro it's good not sex" Hayes says. "Hey she's pregnant and our child likes the food so leave her alone" I say pointing my fork at him. She laughs and eats most of her food and then I clean up once everyone's done and we sit on the couch as per usual and I rub her belly until she decides it's time for bed. "Let's put this baby to bed" she says standing. We tell Hayes goodnight and we go upstairs to the bedroom and lay down where I kiss her gently and then her belly. "Goodnight love and goodnight little Espinosa. I love you both." I say. "We love you too" she smiles before laying on her side with her back to me and I lay on my side with my chest to her back and wrap one arm around her holding her closely.
