Chapter 3 - The Lake

MissCris: Hi guys! So here's chapter 3 to FFTS. Its really really long, I thought you deserved it after such a short chapter 2.

AIDEN’S POV

Confusion. That was the last emotion I registered on Dom’s face before I had to turn and walk away or risk doing something incredibly stupid.

His words cut through my heart like a knife, ‘I don’t want to spend the week and a half before winter break living with you as much as you don’t.’ As much as I don’t? As if I don’t want to spend time with him. I want to spend every minute with him, but it’s impossible.

Dom is the one person I can’t have, my forbidden dream.

The look we shared, it was more than just a look, it was as if he was looking for something in my eyes. But what? What could a guy like Dom, a straight, popular boy look for in me, the bi not so outcast boy?

Ugh! Enough! No more thinking of Dom. It was bad enough I had to spend almost two weeks with him; I didn’t need him in my thoughts right now.

As I reached my first period French class my best friend Gary came up to me.

“Hey A what’s up?” Gary asked, “Man, I know its Monday but why the long face? You look like shit.”

I gave him my fakest smiles and said sarcastically, “Thank you Gary that’s exactly what I need to hear.” I smile for real as I shake my head.

“I’m just saying man; you could do with a pick me up. How ‘bout we go some place after school get your mind of whatever, or whoever, is haunting you.” I looked quickly at him.

“Why would you say that?” I asked

“Dom.” is all he says. Gary is the only other person besides myself that knows about my attraction to Dom. Hell, Gary knows everything about me. So it shouldn’t surprise me that he’s looking out for me, he knows how hard it is to pine for someone you’ll never be able to have. He’s in love with Macy, a shy Hispanic girl in our French class, but she has a boyfriend she swears she’s in love with. I don’t believe her, she keeps giving Gary these looks throughout class, I think she’s one of those girls that wants the full fantasy. The one with the boy who will do anything to be with her, who does romantic gestures and all that stuff. But Gary, sadly, just isn’t that kind of guy. Hmmm? Maybe I should do something to help? Maybe…

“Yo! Earth to Aiden, Aiden! AIDEN!!!!”

“What?” I asked stopping my crazy head from getting any more ideas.

“Dude, you totally zoned out. Where’d you go? Into la la land?”

“Sorry, thinking.”

“About Dom?”
