DOM’S POV

Two weeks, that’s how long it took me to pull together my surprise for Aiden. I was so excited; I couldn’t wait to see how he would react. My love, he would be in for the shock of his life. I had planned to give him the surprise the day our parents left on their trip and low and behold that day had come quicker than I could possibly imagine.

Now, sitting here in English the last class of the day with my sweet Aiden only a few rows ahead I began to put my plan into motion. I took a piece of paper from my notebook and tore a piece off scribbling down a message to Aiden.

Since our parents leave today and you have to come stay with me come to my house at 7:00pm with all your things. -D

That gave me more than enough time to get everything set up after my parents left. Two hours to be exact, it also gave Aiden time to get his things ready, my mom told me that his parents were leaving at 6:00pm so he had some time to himself.

I folded the piece of paper and wrote Aiden’s name on the front before passing it to Dena, the girl sitting in front of me, who then passed it to A.J., who passed it to Aiden. I watched him as he opened the note and read the short message then I saw him pick up his pencil and write a short reply. The paper was then handed back to travel the same route it had take only backwards.

When I received the paper I unfolded it and hesitated not sure what his response would be, but as I saw the words written by his beautiful hand my worries faded: Sure, I’ll see you at 7:00 -A.

Yes. Everything was going according to plan, and before the day was over I was going to take a deep plunge into the unknown, not knowing how this was going to affect my life from now on, not caring actually. All I cared about was Aiden, and before long I was going to prove it to him.

"Dominic we're leaving! Come say goodbye!" I heard my mother yell from the bottom of the stairs. Was it five already? Yikes! I needed to get going or the two hours before Aiden came wouldn't be enough to set things up.

"I'm coming Mom!" I yelled as I reached into my closet getting out all the bags with the items I needed. I put them right beside the door as I walked out of my room.

As I hit the bottom landing my mother came out of the living room. "Dom, are you sure you're going to be ok here?"

"Yeah Mom, and besides Aiden will be here in two hours I won't be alone. I'll be fine" I told her as I placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. "You should leave soon or you guys will miss your flight."

"He's right, we wouldn't want to disappoint Charles." my father said coming up behind my mom. Yeah we couldn't disappoint Charles could we?

"Alright, alright, I'm coming" my mom said as she gave me a hug and grabbed her purse. She headed out the door my father right behind her.

"We'll call when we get to the hotel. Don't get into any trouble while we're gone." my dad said before he headed towards the taxi they had called to take them to the airport. Oh I wouldn't be getting in trouble; I was throwing myself straight into the lion’s den, which was much more than just 'trouble'.

I waved as the taxi pulled away and rounded the corner. As soon as the taxi was out of sight I ran inside closed the door and ran upstairs. I grabbed the bag from besides my door and ran back down stairs.
