AIDEN'S POV

Shit. Shit. Shit. How can he be in the hospital? It's not possible, he just went out to the grocery store, in his dad's huge 4x4! Please, Lord, let him be ok, don't let it be anything serious please. How can I lose him now that I've only barely gotten him? It's not fair, he doesn't deserve this! Please, don't let it be anything serious.

All these thoughts ran through my head as I sat in the passengers side of the snow plow on the way to the hospital. We were going way too slow but with all the snow even the giant plow couldn't get through fast enough. Unfortunately all the time to think was making me panic as thought after thought ran through my head.

"Hey kid, we're almost there." the driver says making me look up at him, "Are you ok? You look ready to pass out."

I only nod.

"You sure?"

"I'm fine, just worried." I finally say.

He gives me a sympathetic smile, "I understand, my brother was in a car accident a few years back, man the hours in the hospital were the worst, they don't tell you anything."

"What happened to him?" I whisper.

"He's fine, broke a leg and fractured his pelvis along with getting a pretty nasty gash on his head but in a few weeks he was up and walking again."

I smile, "I'm glad."

"Thanks. Look, I'm sure your friend will be fine." he says as he stops the truck, "Now here you are, hope everything turns out well.

I look up and see that we're at the edge of the hospital, "Thank you..."

"Dean, Dean Holbrook."

"Thank you Dean." I say as I jump out of the car and make a dash for the sliding glass doors that mark the entrance to the emergency room of the hospital. Before I go in I turn to wave good bye to Dean but the truck is gone. I look up the parking lot but don't' see anything, I frown before turning back to the hospital and going in.

Turning my head from side to side I look for anyone who can help me. I'm about to head to the information desk when I see a couple huddled in a corner. The women is holding a chubby baby girl in an Eskimo suit in her lap while the man has his arms wrapped around her.

What draws my attention is the man's features. They're an older version of Jeremy Sullivan and I know instantly that this is Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, so the baby girl must be....oh boy. I walk over to them and see Mr. Sullivan look up as I approach.

"Mr. Sullivan?"

He nods, "Yes."

"Hi, I'm Aidan, Dom's friend." I explain.

Recognition crosses his features before he stands up and extends his hand, "Jason Sullivan, Jeremy's dad. This is my wife, Carol." he says pointing to Mr. Sullivan.

"Nice to meet you." I say then my eyes land on the gurgling baby girl.

"This is Jessie." Mrs. Sullivan says.

I nod, then turn back to Mr. Sullivan, "Have they said anything, what happened?"

Shaking his head he sits down and motions for me to do the same, "No, the doctors are still attending to them. As far as I know they're car veered off the road." he explains.

"But they were in Mr. Peirce's 4x4 how that veer off the road? It's made for this weather."

Mr. Sullivan shrugs, "Only Dom can tell us that."
