Danny, Jessica, and Ollip sat across the table looking over their menus casually. "Are you sure we should tell them all together in a public place?" I whispered to Ash.
"Yeah. Ripping it off like a band aide." How he was being so nonchalant about this situation was beyond me. I on the other hand was on my second glass of sweet tea and my palms sat in my lap soaking in moisture.
To break the silence that was making me uncomfortable, I spoke up, "I'm so glad you're home Jesse. I missed you so much."
"I missed you as well my love. I see you and Ash are still inseparable," she gave a bright smile.
She was about to find out just how inseparable we were. I guess my emotions were becoming noticeable because Danny looked between me and Ash suspiciously. Ollip swerved his attention.
"Yea I think I want the spaghetti and meatballs. That looks good huh?" Jesse nodded in agreement. The waiter came back and we began placing our orders. Light conversation started. Danny and Ash rambled about basketball while, Ollip, Jesse, and myself chatted about Jesse's return and the latest Michael Kors watches we wanted for Christmas.
"Ouuuuu foods coming?" Ollip chimed.
Our food was placed in front of each of us. As soon as the scents hit my nose I felt like I was going to blow chunks. I covered my mouth and rapidly tapped Ash as I began to move from my seat.
"Yes babe-oh !" he followed after me to the bathroom. I made it just in time and vomited my life into the Kenny's Eatery's ladies room third stall's toilet bowl while Ash held my hair from my face. "Baby you okay?"
"Yeah I feel a little better," Ash began rubbing my back. "We need to go get this over with so I can go home and sleep. Ash my feet hurt," I wined.
"Alright come on. Stop wining. Winers get spanked." The sting to my ass made me want to leave and let Ash take me in the Range Rover.
The faces of our company were filled with confusion and worry. "We can explain," I said nervously.
Jesse's eyebrow raised, "Do start."
"Wel-see I- we uhm-"
"We're having a kid. As in Karsen's with child," Ash finished.
Jesse smirked.
Ollip jaw was to the ground.
Danny got up and walked out.
"Where's he going?" I asked frantic. I started to get up, "Danny," Ash grabbed my hand.
"Baby just let him be." I yanked my arm from him.
"No," I began to cry and follow Danny.
I followed him out to the front parking lot. "Danny where are you going? Please don't leave me."
"Karsen when are you going to grow up? Honestly can you be that clueless?"
"Danny I-"
"Do you not see how we act around each other 75% of the time? And you wanna bring another person into our fucked up world?!"
"I didn't plan this and we are not that bad."
"Baby girl open your eyes! Your baby daddy is a dope dealer! A street pharmacist ! Your brother is a druggie.Your daddy's dead. And your mommy figure is dying. But we're not that bad. Oh no we're perfect! We should just run a foster home bunny rabbit."
"Danny you're wrong. We love each other and I'm going to try my hardest to love my baby with all that I've got and more. I might not have planned this but I have to deal with the situation now and I will not have self pity because of what I have to be surrounded with. We don't have to be like this . It's a choice. Matter of fact , it's a choice I am done choosing Daniel. If you can't except that I am truly sorry."
