Undeniably, there was a story that the Carter's were continuously making and adding to. Stephan, Marcella, and Rino Carter were all mixing and stirring a pot that was soon going to erupt. Today was that breaking point.

Ash received a phone call at three am this day from his uncle. He was told that his aunt had been shot. She was shot directly between the eyes. Needless to say, she was deceased. He was also told one more fact: there was no suspected killer. This day was going to be the eruption.

Ash left me locked in his room while he rushed to the scene. Obviously Ash was in no state to see his the cadaver of his beloved aunt but even with my cries and pleads for him to just wait until the police came and cleared things up, he still left. I sat in his dark room crying while beating at the door for what seemed like hours before I woke up back in Ash's bed. I tried for the door and it willingly opened.

"My fucking aunt! Took my motherfucking aunt! " things crashed and shattered from the kitchen. I had a choice to stay safely in our bedroom and cry or to go and comfort my distraught lover. I tip toed into the unidentifiable kitchen and watched as my boyfriend and one day husband punched in cabinet door after cabinet door.

"Ash."

The large figured man slumped at the sound of my voice and the enraged faced boy turned my way. Blood shot eyes, white lips, and tear stained cheeks saddened deeper as I stepped toward him. As I wrapped myself around his glistening abdomen his harsh breaths began to slow. I knew I was Ash's weakness and I always seemed to use it to his advantage more than I did for my own. This was going to be another extreme that we were going to have to endure but we were going to do it together and he knew it just as well as I did. I pulled my broken boy back to our bedroom where I made him lay as I held him in my arms silently.

I woke up to the smell of cigarettes and coffee. Ash sat on the edge of our bed completely dressed with a coffee cup in one hand and a cigarette in the corner of his mouth as he stared into space. Ash's hair was down and stopped at his shoulder's which were covered by his black buttoned down silk shirt, none of the buttons were down exposing his tattooed skin. His pants were black as well. He looked like beautiful sin. I dragged myself from our bed in pain. My back hurt and my feet were swollen. The last trimester of my pregnancy was taking its complete toll on me.

Ash pulled me into his lap before I could walk past him. "I love you Karsen."

"I love you Asher."

He pushed me to stand in front of him while he held my hips, "Even though I will marry you, you know you're more than a wife could be to me. You're my soulmate." Ash ducked into kiss me softly before he continued to speak, " I swear I will never let you go." There wasn't much you could say to that so I nodded and let him kiss me once again.

No more words were spoken as I prepared for the day and Ash went to make me breakfast. After I showered and made myself decent I called Jessie. "Hey baby."

"Hey Jes. I don't know how long I have until Ash walks back in here but I'm calling to let you know his aunt died."

"Oh my God Karsen. He's taking it bad isn't he? Karsen that was his mama. She raised Ash."

"I know but we have we'll get through this."

"Do I need to come get you ? I know you're his rock Karsen but if he's getting anything like what happened last t-"

"No . He hasn't snapped. He's trying I know he's trying."

She sighed, "Baby girl be safe."

"I will. I love you Jes."

"I love you too." We ended the call but I jumped as I turned around to face Ash sitting on our bed.

"She's worried about you ?" I know someone you love shouldn't bring you fear but Ash was mentally unstable and it was a fact. Ash was unpredictable . He was also the love of my life and I wouldn't dare bring myself to stray away from him because of his flaws. We all had them.
