A Trip Down Memory Lane

Chapter Twenty-Five: "Love is a Game, Wanna Play?"

    The two was surprised and instantly broke the hug when the newly arrived guests entered the room that saw them *friendly* hugging each other. They projected different reactions after that. Annika and Ziegfried felt a little embarrassed while Suzette and Luanne had mischievous looks towards them and Kyle have no reactions at all.

"Oh, are we disturbing something?" Suzy said in her playful tone.

"It's not what you think..." Nika defended.

"Shh, shh, shh." Suzy interrupted. "It's okay, it's okay."

"But..."

Zieg pulled her arms, "Just stop. You don't stand a chance against her anyway."

The squad plays different kinds of games every time they visit Zieg. The last time, they played poker. This time, they decided to play a card game that is proven in destroying many friendships and relationships, UNO card game.

After almost two weeks of hospitalization, Zeig is back to school again. It feels like to him that it's the first day of school.

He bid goodbye to Zoella, who just woke up. He left the house while the sun is still sleeping. He decided to walk from their home to school because he thought that his body is a little bit rusty that needs to loosen up.

More or less than an hour, he arrived at the school. The school environment never fails to excites him. The 'thought' of that it's his final year in the school (he hope so) made him emotional. As he walks on the campus' catwalk, there are so many memories started to flash from his sight: when he almost slipped right in front of so many people, the fun moments with his former friends/classmates when they walk together to the gate after classes and many more. It's so many that he didn't realize that he was already in the school building.

He went to the restroom first to change his wet t-shirt. He anticipated that his trip will be sweaty so he bought an extra undershirt. Once he changed, he went to his locker to get some things. When he got there, he noticed a note from an old friend that welcomed him back and wished him well for their exams. This friend of him is always right there whenever Zieg is in his worsts. He is thankful that his friend still remembers him and sent him again a small note that has a big impact on him.

He took the stairs going to their room. It's always a challenge for him and to other Grade 12 students the number of stairs they have to take every day from the ground floor to the sixth floor. The worst part is when you arrived late. You are obliged to activate your adrenaline in order to catch up to your class on time.

When he reached their homeroom, Aerilyn is already in there. She's always the early bird from their class though she came from the other town.

Zieg greeted her with a friendly wave, "Yow! Good morning. You're early as usual."

A/N: "Pres." for Class President/Chairman.

"Hi Pres. Good morning! " she replied back. "I don't want to arrive late especially today is the start of our exams. Oh... welcome back by the way."

"Thanks! Speaking of exams, are you ready?"

"Ah, no. I have no confidence."

"No confidence, huh? And then when the results came in you topped the class again. You are always like that." Zieg recalled.

"Just my luck, I guess. We all know that you're smarter than me." Aerilyn humbly replied.

During the examinations, the proctor instructed them to have a vacant seat apart from each other. The class was also seated randomly that  some 'cheating/seating arrangements' don't worked.
