Lindsey Buckingham was known for remodeling homes then selling them on the market, his wife, Kristen, usually having something to do with the interior. It was only since he got back from Australia, that he felt the need to do something else besides music, not that he was giving up on it, but just so he could keep himself extra busy. He decided on painting the inside of the recent house, even setting up a little sleeping area in the master bedroom in case he pulled an all nighter, the house not being a huge mansion but more for a middle class family.
Stevie knew of Lindsey's side hobby, having talked to him a few times on the phone and then getting the address from his wife; how ironic. She had grown close to him again, not that they weren't already close, but this time in Australia had been different. It was almost as if they had a epiphany, feeling as if nothing between them was over, that the romance and passion was still there - not as if they had acted upon it, though they wanted to many times, it was just this aching need to be near the other.
Taking things in to her hands, Stevie asked her assistant to take her to the address given, wanting to surprise Lindsey with lunch. Though she had no idea if he ate yet or not, just attempting to be a loving friend by thinking about his needs.
Since Lindsey's car was definitely parked in front, Karen wasn't worried about Stevie being alone, dropping her off while her boss went trailing around the house to find an open door. To her luck, the porch was open, at first cursing to herself while trying to open the door then letting it slam behind her while she jumped. Great, now I really did surprise him! thinking to herself as Lindsey then heard heels approaching, focusing on the guest's feet as he raised an eyebrow while painting the bottom wall of the kitchen. He slowly moved his eyes up and was shocked with the guess he took, it really being Stevie, as her feet were all too familiar to him. She was wearing an open toe ankle boot, white leggings with an over flowing black top that fell off her shoulder.
"Wow..." he let escape his lips, dropping the paint brush as he stood, wiping the paint off his hands with a towel then rubbing the sweat from his brow. "What did I do to deserve the presence of such beauty today?" wanting to hug her but knowing that she'd freak, his amount of sweat and paint would not thrill her, though they've been in quite erotic situations before.
For the first time in a long time, Stevie was nervous, laughing slightly as she placed the bag she'd brought of homemade soup and tea on top of a counter. "I thought you may be hungry," taking out the round Tupperware container and fuzzy pink bottle filled with the tea.
His smile was so big that it just may be glued to his face the rest of the day, fondling the bottle as he raised an eyebrow at her. "Fuzzy and pink...are you trying to tell me something here, Nicks?"
She giggled, "I'm sorry, Linds, none of the more masculine looking bottles were clean...Karen, you know, she is the one that prefers those," laughing whole heartedly.
"So, what is this?" gesturing towards the gifts on the counter top.
"Well, the tea is filled with all sorts of anti oxidants - I drink it all the time and of course if I'm drinking it, then it must be good," touching her chest. "The soup, yes, it's soup - don't look at me like that! It will fill you up more than you'd think. It has coconut with ginger, I swear you'll find it appealing," leaning on the counter as he was now given a fantastic view of her chest.
He grinned and gave the soup a sniff, pretending that it was God awful then winking, taking a small spoonful then nodding. "Not bad, not bad...Thanks," taking another spoonful as she beamed, watching him enjoy what she'd thrown together, always trying new recipes if she had the time. "How'd you know where I was?" sitting down on a stool.
