Thorin's POV

I bid farewell to my fellow kings. I was returning my attention to Y/N when a cloud of green smoke appeared from nowhere. "Bloody hell," I heard Y/N whisper as she stepped closer to me. I could see that she was shaking. I was about to ask her why she was afraid when a woman emerged from the smoke, or what I thought was smoke. "Lovely little hovel you've got here," the woman said before her eyes fell on Y/N.

"Y/N, dear there is nowhere you can run that I cannot find you." I saw Y/N's fists clench. This woman's blue eyes radiated malice but that was not what caught my attention. "She's green," Kili said. The woman glared at him. "Jealousy will do that to you. Won't it, Zelena?" Y/N snapped. So this was the Wicked Witch. I took hold of Y/N. "You will leave my kingdom now," I snarled at the witch. I looked around and saw that my company and Dis had joined us.

They all looked ready to defend Y/N if necessary, as did both Thranduil and Bard. "Not without her precious heart," the witch crooned. Y/N stood straighter and in a voice of authority that I'd never heard from her before she said, "You will never have my heart. Do as the king says and leave." The witch, Zelena, simply smirked and said, "Oh dear, you will give me your heart eventually because if you don't, I'll do this!" With those words, she shoved her hand into Thranduil's chest!

Your POV

I knew exactly what was happening when Zelena reached into Thranduil's chest. She pulled out his heart. "You see dear. I can make the ones you care about suffer." She began to squeeze the heart causing Thranduil to gasp in pain and fall to the ground. Without thinking, I used magic to throw her backward with one hand and retrieve Thranduil's heart with the other. Surprised by my sudden act, Zelena disappeared in another cloud of magic.

I stared at the heart in my hand for a moment. "What did you do, Amrâlimê?" I shook my head in disbelief. "I don't know." I walked over to Thranduil, still lying on the ground propped up on his elbow his silver hair falling in his face. He looked up at me and I could see fear, an expression that was almost foreign on his perfect face. I wasn't surprised. It was a terrifying thing having your heart ripped out of your chest. "This is going to hurt a bit, Thranduil. You just have to trust me," I said softly. I rammed his heart back in and stood. I felt rage building inside and I had to turn to leave. "Y/N?"

I stopped and looked back over my shoulder. The three kings, the company and Dis were all staring at me with worried expressions. I sighed softly and said, "She'll be back. I need to have a plan when she does. I refuse to let her hurt anyone else." I did not know how, but I was going to stop Zelena no matter what. "My lady?" I turned my gaze to Thranduil. "Thank you. You could have let her kill me." I shook my head. "No I couldn't." I left the room without another word.

Thorin's POV

The anger on Y/N's face honestly frightened me and I could tell it frightened the others as well. "Thranduil, Bard please forgive me for what happened. We did not expect that woman to find Y/N here." They asked who that woman was and why she had come after Y/N. I quickly explained and once again offered an apology. They assured me that it was nothing and they would still return for Kili's feast the next night. After they left, I went in search of my beloved. I found her in a field just outside Erebor throwing knives. Her accuracy at that moment would have put Fili to shame.

I approached cautiously. " Amrâlimê, are you alright?" She shook her head and went to retrieve her knives. "I need to calm down before I can think of a plan. On the Jolly Roger, I'd usually fight with someone on the crew or my father." I gently took the knives from her as I saw tears form in her eyes. "I promised we would stop the witch together, did I not? What do you need?" She thought for a moment. "I need rest tonight and the library tomorrow." She gave me a small smile and left. I shook my head and followed after her.

The next morning Y/N was not at breakfast. Ori joined us a few minutes late and told me that he'd seen her in the library early that morning. I quickly finished eating as the company gave me knowing smiles. As soon as I finished, I ran to the library and found Y/N frowning at the book in front of her. After a moment she let out an exasperated sigh. "What is it?" She looked up at me. "I'm not finding anything useful in any of these books." She gestured to the piles of books around her. "I'm afraid you will find no spell books of any kind in this library my love." She looked up with a glimmer in her eyes as if she just realized something. "Thorin, you're a genius! A spell book! I have to talk to Beorn!"

Your POV

I jumped up from the table and planted a kiss on Thorin's cheek. He grabbed my arm and looked at me confused. "Beorn? The skin-changer?" I nodded and replied, "Remember he said that he knew my mother? Maybe he has something of hers; a spell book or magical item. Anything that will help us with the witch." I wasn't sure why, but I had an inkling that Beorn knew something about the woman I'd known as my mother. "I will go with you," Thorin said and I shook my head. "You are needed here." In truth, I wasn't certain if I wanted him to know everything about my mother yet.

"You cannot go alone and not today. Take Dwalin or Gloin with you and wait until tomorrow. Kili wants you here for his feast," he insisted. He looked pained at the idea of letting me go at all so I nodded. Not that he could stop me if he wanted to and I believed that he knew that. I spent the rest of the day with Thorin before preparing for the last coronation feast. Just before the feast, I cornered Dwalin. "Dwalin?" He looked at me, but turned back around before I could say anything. My brows furrowed together and I was about to scold him for being rude when he turned to face me yet again. This time he held two tankards of ale.

"Can't have a decent conversation without some good ale, lass," he said with a very rare smile. "Thanks." It certainly was not rum, but it did the job. "What do ya need lassie?" I took a deep breath and told him my request. "Will we be riding or can ya just poof us there?" He gave no argument or complaint. "Magic will be faster. If you're uncomfortable with it, we can ride." He shook his head, "Magic lass. I would hate for anything to happen to our future queen." My face fell slightly. Why was everyone so convinced that I was going to be queen or that Thorin would even officially ask me to be his queen? We really hadn't talked about marriage. It was never anything I saw for myself in the Enchanted Forest. Dwalin let out a loud laugh at my expression. After a moment I could not help but to laugh as well. "So, we'll leave on the morrow then?" he asked once our laughter subsided. I nodded and went to find Thorin again.
