paraphrased magazine blurb from Neyo: women shouldn't cake make-up all over their faces. it's a generation of self-love, and let's start loving ourselves. covering yourself with make-up is just being fake.
everyone, including the girls: starts clapping
me, raising my hand: bitch please
advisor: calls on me
me: ACTUALLY -- if lots of make-up makes someone feel confident, then they should go for it. If little to no makeup makes someone feel confident, then they should also go for it. It isn't men's place to body-police women, and it isn't women's place, either. This is a generation of self-love, but if people love themselves whilst wearing lots of make-up, it's just the same as loving yourself without it.
girl next to me: wow that was deep
me: does a peace sign as the conversation continues
