" SO WHAT ARE the news?" Odessa said, looking at Steve. She looked at him confused as she saw how stiff he was. Steve tighten the hold of his stiring wheel. "Is everything alright?" She asked, taking his free hand in his. Steve send her a bright smile towards her.

"Everything is wonderful. I just have a surprise for you." Steve said, lifting his eyes from the road for a second. Odessa smiled brightly at him. "But I don't know if you are going to like it though." He added, causing Odessa to give him an amused look to him.

"It can not be that bad. I love your surprises." Odessa said, smiling at him. Steve parked in the small Italian restaurant that Odessa loved so much. "You know me so well." She said, smiling at Steve. Steve smiled goofily at her, and bought her in for a kiss. He held the back of her head with one hand, and with the other he held her tightly against him. He loved her more than anything. He would have given his life for her; it is horrible fate got in the middle of this.

Odessa pulled away smiled at him. Steve kissed her forehead before exiting the car. He opened the door for her, and held her waist. "You will love the surprise," He mumbled in her hear. Odessa smiled at him, while they walked towards the restaurant.

Odessa and Steve sat down on their reserved table. Steve played with the box in his pocket while Odessa looked at the menu. "So, why were you on a law firm?" steve asked her, starting the conversation.

"Well I have a friend that works there. We are working on a case together. He is not happy about the case I have chosen. He thinks it's not safe for me to do it. His name is Matt." She said, looking at him with the brightest of eyes that will soon fade away in a matter of days.

"What case?" Steve asked her curious. Odessa looked at him sheepish. She shrugged while looking out of the window. She caught sight of a familiar red and blue suit that had a spider on the center of it. Steve looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

Odessa sighed looking at him. She pulled out a piece of paper from the her bag, and passed it to him. Steve read the name of it, and looked at her confuse. "I'm planning on telling the truth about that. My editor would not mind, but the person mentioned there would. He is powerful, specially in Hell's Kitchen." Odessa whispered, leaning on the table so that only Steve could hear. Steve put the file down, looking at her. He looked worried, and he was.

"I think you should leave it, if it risks you life. The last thing I want in my life is seeing you dead. You mean too much to me." He said to her. He played with the box that was in his pocket. "But I don't want to stop you from what you want to do. Unless, is doing something that can get you killed." He explained to her.

"What if it's the right thing to do?" Odessa asked him. Steve looked at her, thinking of an answer. "What if it's the thing that maybe can make people know what's ready happening? I became what I'm because I wanted to tell people the truth that has been hidden from them.

"Yeah, but what cost; your life? There are other ways." Steve told her. Odessa looked down at the files in her hands. It was a few years of research she has collected. "Dessa, listen to me. I don't want you getting hurt. You want to do the right thing, which you always do; but we can rush into things. We don't know the man's plan." Steve told her.

"I do," Odessa said, cutting him off.

"And what will you work and all your effort do if you died? Nothing." Steve told her. He took her hands in his. "We can world this thing out in other ways. Plan it out, first."

"Wouldn't do, Mr.America." Odessa told him.

Steve sighed, pulling out the box from his pocket. Odessa was too busy putting the file on her purse to notice Steve's nervous state. Steve stood up, and knelt down in front of Odessa. "Odessa, I love you." He said, causing Odessa to smile. Her heart picked up at Steve's words. "And hell, I wouldn't even imaging a world without you..." Steve never got to finish because he noticed an object coming towards them. Steve pulled Odessa down and covered her from the blast.

The window exploded, piercing through people's skin. Odessa, stood up with Steve looking around the restaurant. Steve looked at the broken window, in hopes of finding the cause of the explosion. Odessa looked at the wounded people with concern. Steve put away the box. He kissed Odessa in the head before looking around the wounded.

Odessa walked towards the people who took most of the hit. She knelt down next to a man who had a glass stuck into his body. He was about to pull it out when Odessa stopped him. "You don't want to bleed out? do you?" She asked him. Steve helped the people out while Odessa took a few napkins. She put pressure on the wound, before moving to the next victim. "Hey, Stevie get this one out." She yelled at her boyfriend. She knelt down next to the wounded, helping them. When the paramedics arrived, she helped them get the wounded to the stretches. She was not doctor, but she knew enough.

Steve's phone vibrated while he was trying to find Odessa. He picked it up as he found Odessa helping some people. "Tony?" He answered the phone.

"Hey grandpa, we need you and you girl now. We might have found a very dangerous new threat. Plus, Dessa knows more about this stuff than me. Pietro and Wanda, you know they got their memories erased so they can't help us now. They are trying to find a guy by the name of Magneto." Tony explained to him. It was true. Odessa had recognized somewhat the two, and decided to do some research of her own. Using the X-Men knowledge, she found who they were really were: Magneto's children. "How did it go? Did she say no to the ring?" He asked her.

Steve sighed, looking at Odessa who was walking towards him. There was blood everywhere on clothes, due to her helping the wounded. "No, something exploded when I was about to ask her." Steve told him. "We will be there in a few." He told him before hanging up. He kissed Odessa on the forehead. "They need us." He told her. Odessa nodded, and followed him out. She didn't knew that will be the last date they will have.
