The beast. The one from my dreams. The cyclops. But how? There haven't been any sightings of large beasts for a while. Has he been hiding in the forest this whole time?

Me and my team were stunned. We had never faced something like this before. We all tried running, but we were too terrified to move. It wasn't until the town guards came along to distract the beast that we regained our senses and ran as fast as we could.

I stopped. There was no way I was going to allow this creature to enter my town. Not while I still stand. I knew it was a stupid idea, but I wasn't going to cower in fear.

I shouted at the beast at the top of my lungs, hoping to attract his attention.

"Lad! Stop! We have this under control! Run back to town and stay indoors!" the guards told me.

I ignored their warning and ran up to them to attempt to be of some help. As I was running towards them, one of the guards turned around to warn me again but was grabbed by the cyclops as he let his guard down.

*Crunch* *Snap*

The cyclops began squeezing the poor guy in his hands. The terrible noises his body will haunt me for the rest of my life. It was just a series of snapping and crunching. After a few moments of terror, the beast released the guard, but the sight was quite horrible. The guard's corpse was snapped in half, right in the middle. All there was to see was a pile of a mixture of guts and bones in the middle. I began feeling sick from the sight of it. But this wasn't the moment to get all woozy about it. I decided to do the stupid thing of charging the beast and striking it at its legs. In a simple strike, the beast flung me across the fields, with only a large boulder to stop me from continuing my flight.

My back and the boulder met at super sonic speeds. The pain would be enough to have knocked me out cold, but my determination to defend my town decided otherwise. I arose almost instantaneously albeit I was in severe pain. As I walked back to the battle, I noticed the late guard's sword was just a few feet away. I swapped weapons as I would need a real weapon to inflict any type of damage to the large creature.

The sword was quite heavy compared to the wooden hindrance I carried around. I grew accustomed to the weight of the metal weapon quite quickly as time was of the essence.

I continued my walk. As I arrived I noticed my party members distracting the beast. Roon was on it's side, whacking it with his wooden scythe. Luz was hitting it with his arrows, but being wooden they didn't have much effect. And lastly, Kael was attempting to cast another one of his spells, from the sound of it, probably a summon.

I did not hesitate. I ran right into battle. As I did, I noticed some trees that were knocked down. They fell into such a manner, that they were similar to a ramp. This was oddly familiar. I was having a bit of déjà vu here.

I used the tree ramp and leapt towards the creature's head. As I did, in an instant, I unsheathed my new sword and struck the cyclops. It fell down in one hit. A large thud was heard. Everyone began cheering. Everyone, except me. I doubted the creature's death. The battle was far too easy and so I decided to inspect it. I stepped down from the beast and suddenly I felt a warm breath on the back of my head. I turned around and saw the one eye stare right back at me. Out of surprise, I attacked the eye and from this, a loud cry was screeched from the foul beast. I had blinded it. Although it might not have been dead, it was quite weakened at this point.

Me, the guard and the rest of Exion (the party's name) began attacking the beast with everything we had. In only a few moments, we had knocked over the beast and I went in for the killing blow: decapitation. I struck the creature's neck quite a few times. Many gushes of blood sprayed on me, but this did not stop my attacks. I had to make sure this thing was dead this time. With each strike, I felt more and more power surge through me. What was this that I felt? It was similar to adrenaline, but it's power felt greater than that. And with one more swing, the beast's head rolled away from it's body. We had done it, we took it down.
