Chapter 13

Her black hair came right up to her chin and her dark blue eyes scanned me. A smile was on her face and in a few seconds I heard her laugh again.

"You haven't changed a bit! Still needing protection. I do wonder though, did your personality change at all?"

She made af ew hand signs that I knew all to well and before she was able to hit anyone I stood in the way. A wave of drowsiness passed over me and I grimaced as the death like sleep fell upon me. That justsu can only be broken by the person who casts it and I know for a fact that she isn't going to wake any of use up. I fell back into Shikamaru's arms and in an instant I was motionless.

Shikamaru's pov

I saw the girl who calls herself Ahari's sister make a fwe handsigns and before any of us were to react Ahari stood infront of us. It was like a knock out jutsu or something cause pretty soon she was in my arms knocked out. Her breathig slowed and when I pressed my ear against her chest I could barley hear a hearbeat.

"What did you do!"

Naruto was screaming and I was to shocked to even move. That justsu from the way she was positioned to target Naruto but she stood in the way.

"As stupid as ever. The justsu I casted puts the person under a dealth like sleep and can only be awaken by the castor. So I suggest that you just hand her over now."

"No we are not giving her to you."

I still can't move, I am useless now. Choji walked over to me and stood in a protective stance next to use. I guess he doesn't trust me to protect her either. A few minutes of them talking past before I finally payed attention.

"So you all already know of our clan, well here is the question for you. Did you know that she is my adoptive sister?"

And with that she dispapeared. Kiba turned around just as the girl was right next to me with her hand on Ahari. I was still to stunned to move, it's like I have been cought in my own jutsu but instead of it being shadows it's with fear.

"Sorry and I would love to chat but I need to go."

And with that she disapeared and Ahari with her. So she can teleport things as long as she is touching them. My body finally moved and I fell to the ground in a heap.

"Shikamaru!"

I looked up at Choji, my eyes leaking small tears as I did.

"S-she's gone."

My voice is weak and shaky as I spoke.

"We'll get her back."

I felt Kiba wrap his arms around me and help me up onto my feelt but my legs are to wobbly to hold me up properly. I did nothing. I could of helped her but for some reason I didn't. Now she could be in danger or dead because of me. I shook those thoughts out of my mind as we sowly walked in silence through the halls. Kiba said he has a faint sence of smell on her but other then that nothing. Akamaru was at my side because like Ahari earlier I could barley stand.

We walked on and everything seemed empty. There was no feeling of people in here, like they left but Kiba says Akamaru can still tell she is here. Choji is just as silent as I am, giving me reasurence as Naruto searches every room light speed trying to get his sister back. Although I am still not sure if they are or not, I just can't help but believe that the information is false.

Two Weeks Earlier

I smile as I hear the faint knocks on the front room door but before I was able to ge toff the couch I heard my father answer the door.

"Hello? Oh it's you Ahari! What do you need?"

"I am here looking for your son Shikamaru. Shikaku Nara is he here?"

"Yea come on in."

I invited her to stay the night tonight since then again Naruto keeps forgetting to get an extra key and leaves her without a house when he goes on missions. I like it when she stays over though. Since she doesn't like sleeping alone we share a bed and her perfume is to strong for me to handle so I have her sleep in one of my shirts which fits like a dress because she is so small. That isn't the case though, I really do like her perfume odor it's just she looks so cute when she is swimming in my larger shirts.

"Shikamaru! Your girlfriend is here!"

"She is not my girlfriend!"

What a pain. He wants me to get in a relationship and it isn't like I don't want to it's just I don't know how to. She walked in and bowed her head before sitting next to me, placing her overnight bag on the floor next to the couch.

"Thank you for inviting me over Shikamaru Na. Shikamaru."

"It's fine, although I think you should really tell Naruto about the house key and remind him always."

She nodded and I looked down. I mean the complete opposite because I really like it when she comes over but I really want her to feel happy and she really feels uncomfertable here. Mom scares here a little because she can be a bit to pushy with wanting use together.

We snuggled on the couch and watched a few movies before it was finally getting late. I am loving this right now. Her in my arms her back against my chest. I don't know what could get any better.

Present Time

We walked through the halls and I felt myself smile a little at the distant memory. Maybe after this mission if she lives we could do that again real soon. Wait stop thinking about what if she dies, she will live. She is strong, that demon proved it earlier. I shouldn't be underestimating her power. Just then a shrill scream echoed through the halls making us all look around. Since it echoed there was no way in hell we could find what direction they are coming from. Another set of screams and I felt myself grow stiff. Those belong to Ahari.
