Nina and I were heading to Newsstand to meet up with the rest. It had become a permanent rule that, I should never go anywhere alone, and hence, I am walking with Nina.

Nina was chattery as usual. But, it was a good distraction from the battle that was going on inside my head. I was in doubt because of Melissa's behaviour. I was lost in the battle with my inner voice when Nina cleared her throat. I mumbled a sorry and she shrugged it off. "You know, you just have to say that I am annoying, that will do. I won't talk then," she said. I laughed, "Hey, you aren't annoying. Keep on talking and it's going to make me forget about Melissa." She chuckled and looped her arm in mine we walked to the entrance of Newsstand.

When we swung the door wide open, all heads turned in our direction. We searched for the guys and Kim and found them seated in the corner booth, the most private one of all. I took a seat next to Zayn, but I refused to meet with his eyes. I looked anywhere but at him.

I think Alex figured it out, because he chuckled after looking from me to Zayn. I didn't know what to say to Zayn after the other day, so I chose to ignore rether than talking to him. But, I doubted that would work because Zayn is impatient and will always find a way to talk to me.

"So, shall we order something?" Jordan asked, breaking the awkward silence that had enveloped us. "Yeah sure. You guys didn't order?" Nina asked Jordan.

Then only did I notice how horrible he looked. I gasped in surprise. "Oh my God! Jordan! you look like you haven't showered in a decade!" Nina exclaimed loudly, as if reading my mind, which in turn gained a few looks in our direction and Nina looked down in embarrasment. With this, Jordan ran a hand through his hair and sighed, "Will you level your voice down if I go shower after this awkward meeting?" Then we started laughing when we saw Nina's head bobbing up and down. As I was laughing, my eye caught something on a table upfront near the door. It was a gold cigarette case, with the letters A.P clearly flashing.

Three Months Ago....

I was lying down on my bed in my room, reading a magazine which wasn't very interesting. I sighed and threw it at the trash bin but missed. I decided that I would pick it up later and flopped down back on my comfy pink bed.

Just then, my phone started to ring. I wasn't expecting anyone to call, since Leah and the guys would be in the air by now. It was 5 in the evening and their flight was scheduled to leave around 4

Puzzled, I looked at my phone. An unidentified number. I raised my eyebrows and picked up the phone. "Hello," the caller's voice was deep and his tone was demanding.

"Who is this?" I asked and was met with laughter on the other line. "I have been gone for what? Two years and you already forgot about me? Now I'm hurt,"the caller cried out in a dramatic voice. I searched my mind, and finally found the answer.

"Aaron! You bastard, you scared the shit outta me. Your voice wasn't like that when you left so how the hell was I to know that this deep voiced dumbass would be you, huh?" I asked in a playful tone.

We stayed on the phone for like an hour, catching up. Aaron Parker was my long time bestfriend who had been sent to military school by his annoying father, two years ago. His father was a rich snob who wanted his son to be more respectable, he said. The only thing Aaron had to say to this was "Bullshit" and with that, he walked away into military school. Now, he was back at home.
