The Story Untold (A Collins Key fanfic)

New Family

It's December 28th and today I am meeting the couple that is going to adopt me.

"I'm really nervous" I told my grandma as we drove to Bob Evans where we were meeting them.

"Don't worry; I'm told they are very nice people. I'm sure you'll love them."

A few minutes later we were at Bob Evans and with shaky hands I opened the door to the building and walked inside.

We were then seated and about 5 minutes later a young couple started walking toward us. The lady was about 5'3" with long, dark hair and a very welcoming smile. The man towered over his wife at about 6'2" with very short, brown hair. They walked up and introduced themselves.

"Hello my name is Henry and this is my wife Susan. I assume you are Madison."

"Yep that's me and this is my grandma and current caretaker Martha."

Before I knew it over a hour had past and I was beyond excited to start living with Henry and Susan. I also learned a ton about them. Both of them were very wealthy doctors in their early thirties. They had tried for years to have kids but were eventually told it would never happen. They both threw themselves into work but still desperately wanted a child. They weren't sure if they could handle a young child with their busy schedules and also because they said they were getting too old for that. They then heard about me and knew it was a perfect match and pulled out all the stops to get me.

As we were leaving I hugged them both. I knew they could never replace my parents but that they would be a good substitute. Tomorrow I get move in. I'm excited and nervous. Let's see how this goes.
