Operation 3: Friendly Combat

Author's Note: Gah! Sorry for the huge delay! I'm hoping to make an update schedule for this every Tuesday. That MIGHT work, so don't get your hopes too high.

By the way, when I first planned out this chapter, it was horrible. NOTHING had meaning. So, I added in the action scene and a few other things. You're welcome. :)

You hold up the silver card in front of the small device on the door frame.

C'mon, please work this time, you think.

When the red light turns green and a quiet click is heard, you sigh silently in relief, swinging open the door, walking inside the 5-story building.

The corners of your (s/c) lips perk up slightly in a smirk, looking around the--by the looks of it--, the first floor of the training building. To the left, there's a large rock climbing structure, the kind you would see in a kids gym. To the right, blue gym pads set on the floor, and a small pile of small wooden daggers in the corner.

"Excuse me!"

You turn around to see a ravenette striding over, her loose pigtails sway with each step.

"Hi?" You wave slightly once she stops in front of you.
"Hi! Do you need something, miss?" The girl smiles politely.
"Yes... I'm looking for the... Um," you shuffle your feet, trying to recall the words.
"T.I.T.A.N. Training Room?" The ravenette asks, furrowing her brows.
"Y-Yeah, I think." You mumble, putting your hand on your hip.
"Alright, follow me." She waves her hand, heading down a hall, you trailing behind, glancing around a little more.

"I haven't seen you around, are you new?" The girl asks, making you hum a yes.
"Yeah, yesterday I transferred here from S.I.N.A." You say, speeding up your pace until you walk side by side with the ravenette.
"Ah," she smiles, nodding her head.

Approaching a stair case, you chuckle quietly. "Alright, just head down these stairs and straight ahead, that's the training room." She instructs.
"Right! Thanks..." You pause, perking your brow up.
"Oh! My name is Mina, Mina Carolina." She smiles, holding out her hand.
"Ah. Well, thank you Mina." You take her hand, shaking it.
"You're very welcome..." She winks.
"(F/n) (L/n)," you chuckle, turning to the stair case.
"I'll remember it!" Mina says, turning and walking down the hall after a small wave.

You begin walking down the stairs, a thought crossing your mind. Thank goodness! I thought these people forgot what stairs were.
As you came to the last three steps, you jumped the rest of the way, landing on the cement ground with a quiet thud.

Straight ahead, there is a doorframe leading into the gym. Striding ahead, you see several people on black gym pads, either in a fighting stance or simply having a conversation.

As you start to walk around the large gym, a few people glance at you, but a certain brunett heads over to you, a smile plastered on his lips.

"Hey! Girl in (f/c)!" He calls out, you looking down at your (f/c) t-shirt and up at the approaching man.
"Hm?" You raise your brow once the boy stops in front of you.
"You're the new girl, (F/n), right?" He tilts his head to the side slightly.
"Yeah, what's your name?" You ask.
"Eren Jaeger," he says, noticing how your lips part in surprise.
"Oh, you're the one in charge of weaponry, right?"
"Correct. Why, someone looking for me?"
"Hanji told me I should find you to get 'educated' on the weapons here, as well as the gym." You say, doing air quotes with your fingers.
"Oh yeah, I can do that. Though," Eren smirks, giving you a quick once over. "Why not I 'educate' you with a little friendly combat?" He copies your earlier actions, his smirk widening.
