Mason's P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of banging on the bedroom door.
" Get the fuck up!" My dad yelled.
I groaned and woke up Emma. She stirred then opened her eyes slowly.
" You have kindergarten today!" I say.
She smiles and runs to the closet to pick out some clothes. I do the same and quickly change. I spray some deodorant and walk with Emma downstairs.
Emma say at the dinning area and was colouring whilst I made her some cereal. I placed a bowel in front of her and we ate, talking about unicorns, because she is six.

I walked her inside her kindergarten and set her down.
" I'm picking you up this afternoon. Be good!" I say, kissing the top of her head.
" Bye Mason! I wuv you!" She said hugging me before running off to one of her friends. I smiled and walked back outside to my bike. My bike had a little ride along thing at the back for her to sit in. I folded it up and took off for school.

The school was already filled with hundreds of people. I found my way to Jace.
" What yo bro!" He says fist pumping me.
He took a moment to examine me, he noticed the bruise on my arm.
" Mason."
He looked really upset.
" I'm not calling the police!" I said.
" But he is hurting you," he said, concerned.
" It's fine, really," I lie.
It's not fucking fine.
Jace rolls his eyes and we start talking about random things.
The bell sounded signalling to go to class. I said goodbye to Jace and head to homeroom. We get marked off and head to our next lesson. I was happy because it's Chem and I had Beth in my class.

" Alright, I paired up lab partners! We have Myra and Lachlen, Travis and Scott, Beth and Mason."
I froze. I'm partners with Beth! Partners with Beth! I picked up my things and walked to her station.
" Hey," she greets me.
" Hey Beth!" I smile.
We starting going over the assignment and brainstorming things, but all I could think about how perfect she was when she smiled.
