Mason's P.O.V { Picture is him }

I drag up the suitcases to our new room at Clover Orphanage. Emma comes bouncing into the room. She picks the bed that is next to the window, I take the one across from her. The room has beige walls. Two closets and a small T.V on a table.
" Wow, this room is cool!" She exclaims.
" Yeah," I reply opening my suitcase and getting out bed sheets.
" It's so nice, but not as nice as Aunty Juliet's house is gonna be!"
My heart sinks. Aunty Juliet wants nothing to do with our family. After mum when to prison for not even doing anything, she hates our guts.
I sigh and take out a picture of Beth and I. I smile at it and place it on my bedside table. Which reminds me, she has band practice in an hour and she wants me to be there.
" Em?" I say.
Emma turns around holding a teddy bear and took her lollipop out of her mouth.
" I'm just going to Beth's rehearsal, I'll be back soon!"
" But I don't want to be here by myself!"
I look around and go into my suitcase.
I find my laptop and hand it to her.
" Play on this, I'll will be a few hours."
She hesitantly takes the laptop and I smile.
I grab my phone and run downstairs.
" Hello Mason!" Christine says.
Christine is our manger and holds out meetings and activities.
" Hey, I need a ride to my girlfriends band practice. How do I get there? Taxi?"
" Oh, we have a driving system here, I'll go grab Daniel ( just don't ). Just go wait outside. In the future just dial 12439 on the phone in your room. It will order a cat for you. Okay, see you around!"
I say goodbye to Christine and head out to the front of the building.
The building is really nice too. It was a pastel yellow colour which gave it a really nice effect and more welcoming.
Daniel pulls up in front of me and beeps the horn.

" I don't love you anymore!" Beth say, belting out the word anymore.
They girls have finally written their own song and it sounded great.
" I don't want anything to do with yooooooooooooooou!" Jade belts.
" That will be the past but I don't forgive and forget!"
" I don't love you anymooooooooore!" Beth finishes and the room erupts with applause.
" That was so good!" Mikaela says, taking a sip of water.
" Jade, that was so good!" Beth says, flashing her smile that makes me all fuzzy inside. But manly fuzz. Fuzz with muscles.
Okay, I'm getting off topic here. I walk over to her and cup her face, pecking her nose.
She smiles up at me and rests her face in my chest. I put my arms on her head and she looks back up.
Should I tell her what happened with Winter?
" I need to tell you something," I say.
She pulls away looking at me concerned.
" What?"
My mind froze, I couldn't bring myself to do it.
" I love you!"
She giggled and pinched my cheeks.
Why can't I just tell her.

I walk through the door and Emma was on her bed looking very angry.
" YOU LIAR!" She yells.
" What?"
" Aunty Juliet isn't coming!"
" How do you know!"
" Christine told me. Now I'm stuck here with my lousy, annoying brother!"
The last few words hurt me. How could such words come from a four year old.
Tears sprung my eyes as I went into the bathroom and locked myself in there.
I look in the mirror.
Maybe I am a lousy person.
