Beth's P.O.V
I am so excited for today, one we have band slam practice and two, it's the first day of school with my new boyfriend! It's gonna the best day ever!
I looked at myself on the mirror to make sure I looked my best. My hair was in a tight high ponytail. I was wearing, you guessed it, my plumb lipstick. I had a leather jacket and my mums army t-shirt on under it. I paired it with jeans and converse.

I sat happily at the lunch table with everyone waiting for Jace and Mason to come. The girls were talking about about the band but I couldn't stop thinking about Mason. At Science he was acting strange and awkward, but that's how everyone acts when they first go out, right? I tapped my fingers impatiently on the table and Raven slammed her hand down making me jump.
" What ya thinking about?" She says, sitting back in her seat.
" Nothing," I lie.
" Mmhm," she says, not convinced.
Jace burst through the doors his eyes scavenging for someone. He had a worried expression. We caught eye contact and he moved his hand to come to him.
" Um?" Raven says.
I get up and run to him.
" Have you seen Mason?" He asks.
" No, why?" I ask.
" We need to find him!" He says, grabbing my wrist.
Jace led the way to the oval, no-one was there. I continue to follow him. We find Mason sitting up in the tree trying to call someone.
" Mason?" Jace asks.
Mason looks down with red eyes.
" S-She is gonna be in there for five extra years," he choked, jumping down.
" What's going on?" I ask.
Mason's eyes shift to me. His look soften and a small smile plastered on his face.
" My m-mum was sent to jail a few years ago. She was accused of holding up seven banks and killing thirteen people. It's, it's been tough."
I look at him with sad eyes. I could feel a wave of sadness wash over me.
I run to him and hug him. I lean up and kiss him. He smiles at me and brings me closer as he sobs a little harder.

The music started playing and I started singing.
' You use to tell me that you loved me once," I sang softly.
Once we finished we all high fives. But I didn't feel in the music. Mason just revealed something really important and I just left for practice.
" Okay, let's go again." Jade says, sitting back down at the drum set.
I sigh as I walk to the microphone.

I was thinking of surprising Mason. It was rude of me to leave him so I got a box of pizza. I pulled up at his house. I walked to the door and knocked on it.
" Hello," I say.
A tall mans with dark hair was standing there. His eyes had dark circles.
" Go away," he slurred.
He was drunk.
" Oh I'm Mason's girlfriend."
" Ha, you date that piece of shit."
" What kind of father are you?"
" How dare you say that!"
He lunges ford and pushed me back off the pouch. I hit my head on the bar, making it bleed.
I whimper as I touch the place where it hit. There was a wound. I got up and scurried away, trying to get in the car.

[ at school ]
I saw Mason talking to Jace and Jade. I walk slowly. He hugs me me and kisses me.
" H-Hi," I stutter, nervous.
" What's wrong Baby?" He says pulling me close.
" I-I tired to see you yesterday. But your dad pushed me off the porch, I cut my head," I say, looking at the ground.
I look up and his face is full with anger and fury.
