Annabell and I run as fast as we can. Lucky some of the freaks turned around to eat Cody. I feel bad having to leave him like that, but we have no other choice. We just have to keep running. There was no stopping for the night, to many freaks following us. I had to carry Annabell some of the time. Which in turn got Cody's blood on her too, which made more diseased freaks come. We need help, and now. We were attracting freaks from other states by now. We were flowers to a bee, a dog treat to a dog, whatever was attracting, we were that. We were a magnet for the freaks. At least I know someone out there is now safe because of us, right.

Finally sleep! The freaks weren't as much. The blood on my clothes is dry now, so the cent isn't as strong. Annabell and I had just enough time to get up in a tree for safety. Annabell is out almost immediately, her head laying agains my shoulder. I wish I could fall asleep that easy. Although I was extremely tired, I could not get the thought of Cody's body being torn to shreds. That also makes me think of my mother, then father. No sleep for me.
Morning comes, and there are not diseased freaks around. I decide to play it safe, and wait a little long, and just to let Annabell rest some more. She must be so tired. Although for me it was not that bad, Annabell was half my size, and had to work harder than I did. I was used to running. Before the apocalypse happened, I was a track runner, I played football, and also basketball. Annabell, all she had was gym, and that did not help much.
Something snaps me out of my thoughts. I hear a twig snap, and it to loud to be an animal. It was a freak, had to be. I grab my gun, ready to fire.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here. Hey Paul, aren't these two the kids that flipped you, and elbowed me?" I recognize that voice.
"Yes. Yes I think it is them Bill." Paul replies.
"What should we do with them hmm? I think we already got their friend." The two man came out for hiding.
"It was you! You shot Cody!!" I am passed mad. I aim my gun.
"No, no, no. I would not do that if I was you, Erik Johnson." Bill waves his finger at me, and the other man, Paul, points a gun at Annabell, who had now woken up from all the commotion.
"Get down here Johnson, and we won't hurt you." Paul says.
"Erik.." Annabell looks so scared. I could let them get us, but they would kill her if we did not obey.
"Fine. We are coming. It will be okey Annabell." I could not scare her more than she already was.
We climbed down, and the men take our guns, and my backpack. This looks familiar. This is what they did before. Apparently when I thought they were died, they somehow made it out, and followed us. Stackers, that thought makes me shiver. All this time all those sounds I had heard, it was them. Creeps, stackers, crazier than the freaks, weirdos, no worse than that. These ran through my mind as the men take stuff out of my bag.
"You put us through a lot of trouble Erik. You know who hard it was to find you two?" Bill hisses. Oh even better they went looking for us! It wasn't that they stumbled upon us, they were LOOKING.
"You guys are creeps, stackers. What do you want with us." I say.
"Oh don't say that boy." Paul says with a fake sad voice, "What should we do with them Bill?"
"I don't know Paul. Something bad though."
"What did we even do to you?" I ask getting madder and madder.
"Oh you don't remember us do you? We lived in that house, and you stole stuff from it." Bill explains.
"Okay, sorry, but that is no reason to hunt us down and try to kill us. We already are out numbered by those freak diseased creeps. Do we really need to be fighting amongst ourselves?" Wow I sound like Dad.
"Shut up!" Bill barks.
"What did I make you think?" I regret saying that, because Bill puts a knife to my neck.
"I said shut up smart boy."
I kept quiet. I had to think of some way to get Annabell and I out of this mess. Not just out, but how to kill these guys. If I didn't they would just follow us, and the whole thing would start all over. Come on Erik! Your dad is (was) a Marine! Think, how can I get us out of this? It hit me. I had an idea, but it was crazy, like mad man crazy. I was almost scared I had thought of it.
"Tie them up Paul." Paul binds our hands and pushes us to the ground.
"Annabell, I have an idea, but it is crazy." I whisper.
"What is it? Anything is better than these guys."
"Even freaks?"
She nods, "Even freaks."
"Okay. Here is my plan. I have a knife in my back pocket, I will cut you loss, grab their guns, and let them rip. Shot all the bullets until they are gone. I will cut myself loss, and hold them back. The freaks while come, then you and I need to hurry and tie them to the tree, then run for it. What you think?"
"I can do that."
"Stop talking over there!" Paul yells as he searches my bag for stuff.
I pull my knife out of my pocket, and slowly and carefully start to cut her rope. Breath, everything will be okay. She's free. She waits a little longer, then sneaks slowly over to their guns, still pretending to be tied up.
"Hey you! Girl get back over there!" Bill barks at her.
"But sir... I am hungry." She gives puppy eyes.
I have never meet anyone that can resist Anna's puppy eyes. Her ice blue eyes piers through your soul. It's like you can't look away, then you give her what she wants. The only person I ever meet that could resist the puppy eyes was my mom. She never broke, never gave into them.
"Fine go ahead." I love how they just trusted her to only get food.
She grabs some important things, then the guns when they weren't looking. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Paul and Bill jump, and try to grab Annabell, but she simple slipped through their fingers. I grab the men, and Annabell and I tie them up.
"Sorry about this, but you left us no choice." I feel evil.
"Please don't let them get us!" Bill and Paul plead.
"I am sorry. Annabell get the stuff. We have to go. They will be coming soon." Just as I say this, I hear the mouns of the freaks, "Bye Bill. Bye Paul. Nice knowing you. Come on Annabell."
We take off with all of our stuff plus theirs. If they got out, they would not last long without food and water. As we ran, I could hear the screams from Paul and Bill. They did not make it... Well those two are gone. Now it might only be Annabell and I.
