Josh woke up in the hospital bed covered in sweat. Carolina stood beside the bed. "Seems you slept all day." She smiled.

Josh looked at Carolina with fear in his eyes.

"Don't look at me like that" she began writing on a clipboard. "You get to leave today if you wish" she paused. "Or you can come with me?"

"What?" Josh shook his head to wake himself up.

"Come home with me, since your girl isn't awake yet."

"No!" He said almost forcefully and looked over to Eleanor's bed. Mike and Ian no longer sat beside it. They must've gone home, he thought.

"I have a nice house." She pleaded. "Plus she will never wake up"

"Yes she will." Josh's eyes filled with tears as he fought to keep them in.

"No, I've made sure of it." Carolina spoke and quickly regretted it.

"What do you mean?" Josh's heart raced.

"I've researched head traumas" she lied.

"Carolina?" Josh asked

"Yes?"

"You're a very beautiful girl. Why are you not married?" Josh thought of the toy man.

"I was. He died." There was a long pause. "But I would gladly marry you."

Josh notices that he couldn't take his eyes off of Carolina, as though he was under some spell.

Carolina smiled and kissed him.
