Chapter 14.

A week had passed since I had first gotten here, to London, and I was just starting to settle in. I had put my clothes in the bedroom dresser, stocked up the kitchen cabinets, and even strung random decorative pieces on the walls. The only thing left to do was put my pictures on the dresser. I pulled out the photos from the bottom of my suitcase and examined each one. I trailed my finger across the biggest photo, one of my parents hugging each other tightly, smiling like mad. I set it down and looked at the next one, a picture of my 3 older brothers standing side by side, all trying to pull off the "cool" look and not looking at the camera. I smiled at the picture, it was my favorite one of them. The last was of all of us, smiling outside of what used to be our small cottage like house.

I stepped back and admired the pictures, a small smile playing on my lips. I turned my head to the side, looking at the time displayed on the alarm clock on the bedside table. Sighing, realizing it was about to start cooking dinner for the boys, I left my room. Placing my headphones in my ears, I turned the volume all the way up, listening to the starting of Lemon Meringue Ties by Dance Gavin Dance. I exited my apartment, heading over to the adjacent door, knocking softly. It opened up revealing a very tired looking Liam and I stepped in, walking straight towards the kitchen.

I mentally rolled my eyes as I saw who was sitting at the kitchen table. Harry and barbie bitch were too immersed in their pathetic flirting to even notice I had stepped in the room. I had avoided Harry all week after the altercation in the hallway and he had seemed to do the same but Savannah wouldn't leave me alone, constantly pestering me about everything I did.

I quietly padded across the kitchen, retrieving the few items I needed to make macaroni and cheese. I set everything down on the counter quietly but managed to drop the full gallon of milk on my foot. I shrieked out in pain, which seemed to catch the couple at the tables attention. Both of their heads snapped up, looking in my direction, Harry looking a bit worried and Savannah looking pissed off that I interrupted their flirting.

I picked up the milk carton, grateful that it didn't burst open, and placed it on the counter. As soon as I went to move, a searing pain shot up in my foot. It was bound to bruise and hurt like a bitch for the next couple of days. Sucking it up, I continued to move around preparing the food, occasionally wincing. In the meantime, Harry and barbie bitch were back to their very annoying flirting.

Usually, I wouldn't be pissed off about a couple flirting because it's totally normal. But this couple? I just wanted to duct tape their mouths shut. I was extremely mad about the fact that this girl, someone who didn't even know me, insulted me, and then Harry couldn't even be bothered to defend me. Sighing, I walked over to the table, setting down the piping hot pot, earning a slight smile from Harry and a glare from Savannah. I exited the room, in search of the other boys.

I found them lounging around the living room, either texting or watching tv. I took out my headphones, placing them in my pocket, and cleared my throat.

"Um, dinners ready." I said quietly once I got their attention. They all got up, rushing past me, eager to eat. I leaned against the wall in the kitchen doorway, texting Becky and waiting for them to finish eating so I could clean, which was an everyday routine now. I stopped texting when I heard that annoyingly loud, shrill voice.

"Maid bitch! This tastes terrible!" Savannah screeched. I had to put up with her all week calling me "Maid Bitch" and insulting me, and I was getting fed up with it.

"Simple. Don't eat." I replied while rolling my eyes, earning slight chuckles from all the boys but Harry. He just looked down, staring at his plate, heaped with food.

      "Well I'm hungry!" She whined.

"Well I don't care!" I mocked her, using the same tone she had. Apparently this made her a bit mad as she got up, plate in hand. She walked right up to me and dumped her plate of hot macaroni all across my chest, staining my white shirt and burning my skin.

      "What the hell?!" I screamed.

"Oops, sorry." She replied sarcastically and walked away, obviously proud of her actions. The bad side in me wanted to go fight her but the good side in me said not to, that she wasn't worth me losing me job. The bad was starting to outweigh the good, something that happened often with me, causing me to get in plenty of fights. I glared at the blonde one more time before swiftly exiting the apartment, slamming the door on my way out.
