I paced back and forth in my apartment, pulling at the roots of my hair. I was so pissed and needed to punch something soon or I would go crazy. I stared down at my scalded chest, which still stung with each touch even though I had already applied burn ointment about an hour ago. I wasn't even mad, I was furious.
"Im going to wring that blond bitch's neck. I'm going to break her jaw, arm, something, ANYTHING." My mind screamed at me. As wrong as these thoughts were, they excited me. Knowing I could inflict serious pain and harm on the blonde girl across the hall had me smiling. It brought relief to know that I for once could cause the pain, not be the one to take it.
I was broken out of my malicious thoughts when there was a knock on my door. I walked over to it, my fists already clenched in case Savannah decided to make a reappearance. I grasped the door knob in my right hand, slightly hesistating to take a deep breath, and opened it just enough to see who it was. I immediatly slammed it shut when I saw who it was and walked away, completely disregarding the constant pounding on the other side.
Walking into my bedroom, I pulled out my laptop from underneath the bed, opening it up and turning it on. The bright light from the screen nearly blinded me causing me to have to turn on my lamp so it wouldn't seem as bright. Typing in my password, I waited for the home screen to load. Once it finally did, I clicked on ITunes and searched for one very specific song. Finding it within seconds, I walked back over to my door, laptop in hand, and listened for the loud banging on the other side. Once my suspicions were confirmed that the person was still there, I set down my computer as close to the door as possible. I pressed play and walked away, not bothering to hear the reaction I would get from it.
*Harrys POV*
I was so utterly confused. I had no idea what problem Savannah had with the maid, or why she dumped steaming hot macaroni on her chest. After the maid stormed out I had gotten the nerve to confront Savannah who was comfortly lounging on my bed, talking on the phone.
"Hang up the phone. We need to talk." I demanded, slightly startling her most likely because she hadn't seen me enter the room.
"Excuse me? How about no." She retorted, rolling her eyes and continuing her conversation.
"Hang it up."
"No."
"Hang up the damn phone!" I screamed. She flinched at my sharp tone and immediatly hung up the phone.
"Why did you do it?" I questioned, my tone now much softer.
"Do what?"
"Don't act dumb, Savannah. Why did you do it?"
She huffed and rolled her eyes again, something that she knew annoyed me.
"Because baby she was being sooooo mean to me! Why didn't you defend me? Do you not love me anymore?" She shrieked, nearly on the verge of tears. I was starting to get sick and tired of her constantly turning the situation around and making her seem like the victim, so I did the only thing I could think of to do. I kicked Savannah out, ignoring her pleas for me to forgive her. The only one she had to apologize to was the girl across the hall. I figured because Savannah probably wouldn't do it any time soon, I would apologize on her behalf.
I shuffled out of the apartment, walking directly across the hall and knocked lightly. Of course I didn't know what to expect, but I was surely surprised when the girl opened the door, only to slam it back in my face. I heard her footsteps grow fainter and fainter as it appeared that she had walked away. I started pounding on the door, harder each time. Why wouldn't she just hear me out? I paused knocking on the piece of wood in front of me long enough to hear soft footsteps come back. I know I was basically harassing the girl and the door but I honestly couldn't care less. I listened carefully between each knock, only to hear music and footsteps walking away once again.
Listening carefully, I recognized the song. Fuck You by Lily Allen blared through what I believed to be her computer. I couldn't help but smile at this, at her indirect sassiness. Turning my back towards her door, I slid down until my bum reached the floor, just embracing the music playing on the other side of the door frame.
Soon my mind was wandering and it ended up on the topic of my relationship. Sure, Savannah was occasionally great, but most of the time her bitchiness outweighed that. "Well the whole time you've known the maid she hasn't done anything rude or bad to you, Savannah had cursed you out on the first day of meeting you." I told myself. I smiled at the thought. The maid seemed to be a much better person than Savannah, and something about her quietness intrigued me. Her silence was interesting, unlike Savannahs screeching. Wait, had I just compared the maid to my girlfriend?
"Pull yourself together, Harry. You don't even know her name."
