*Jays POV*
I was sat on the kitchen counter texting Becky about the color scheme for her wedding when the female embodiment of Lucifer stepped into the room. 3 of the boys seated around the table looked up from their plates, watching intently to see what was about to go down. Louis just stared off into blank space and Harry was no where in sight.
I removed my stare from the wicked harlot in front of me, focusing my attention back on to my cell phone. No one spoke, making the air thick and uncomfortable. The silence was soon broken by Niall speaking up, thank God.
"Are you guys going to pack tonight?"
"For what exactly?" Zayn questioned.
"It's Thanksgiving weekend. Arent you going to go back home since Perrie's on tour?"
"Shit I totally forgot! Thats why my mum sounded disappointed when I said I wasn't going home this weekend." Zayn said, running out of the room, phone in hand and breakfast unfinished.
I for one was shocked with this new information. I had been so caught up in cleaning, cooking, and avoiding Savannah that I had totally forgot it was around Thanksgiving time. I had figured it was around the middle of the month but after doing the calculations in my head it was only right for it to be late in the month.
I was deep in thought about the fact that I had been here for quite a while now when Harry barged into the room looking quite flustered and only seeming relaxed when he saw Savannah seated next to Louis at the table, having a private conversation about who knows what.
I still didn't understand why she didn't like me? Had I done something to her? Sure, I had the worlds biggest crush on her boy friend but I had never told anyone, unless she could have sensed it. But even if she had known I had made no move on Harry, so what was the reason? I had no idea and I wasn't in the mood to ask her. I'm pretty sure if she hadn't insulted so many times and purposely dropped steaming hot food on my chest, we could possibly one day get along.
But that day was long gone now, seeing it as she was a too-much-makeup-wearing menacing bitch. Choosing to block all of these thoughts out of my head for now, I did something I knew I could always resort to. I put my headphones in, volume all the way up and let myself drown in the music while I waited for the boys to finish breakfast.
The food was all eaten, the dishes all washed, the laundry all folded and I was tired as could be. It was already 10 and the boys had informed me that they had an interview today at 11 and then a photoshoot right after so they wouldn't be back for the rest of the night. Removing my headphones, I trudged down the hallway on my way to my apartment across the hall only to hear a conversation that wasn't meant for me.
"Well I don't really care what you do to her, I just want her gone." The shrill voice belonging to no other than Barbie rang out.
"Well if I'm supposed to help you do this could you at least tell me why I'm doing this?" The other voice said, I soon recognized it to be Louis'.
"She's competition, Lou. I know she wants Harry and theres no way I'm going to let that happen. I just want her fired or to quit. Lets just play all nice and sweet for now and then we'll get her when she least expects it."
Was it me they were talking about? 'Of course it was you they were talking about dumbass! Who the fuck else would they want gone?' My mind yelled at me. Walking away from the bedroom door I continued on towards my apartment where I could take a little nap and hopefully forget everything that was just said.
I woke up to a loud chiming in my ear, signalling a phone call. Squinting in the dark room to see the name written on the bright screen, I sat up straight when I saw who it was.
"BECKY!" I screamed down the phone.
"JAYEL MARIA ROSARIO!" She yelled back. "Why havent you answered your phone lately miss?"
"Ok number one, don't use my full name. And number two I was sleeping."
"Why were you asleep? It's already 6."
I sighed. This girl was absolutely, positively clueless.
"My dearest Beckifer, have you never heard of time zones? It's only 11 in the morning here and I was taking a nap."
"Oh I totally forgot about that- OHMIGOD STOP THAT! I'M GOING TO PEE IF YOU TICKLE ME ANYMORE!" She screamed obviously at her fiance as I heard his gruff chuckle in the backround.
"I'll just talk to you later 'cause you seem like you're busy with your boytoy." I laughed and ended the call, not waiting to see whether or not she heard me.
I stood up, stretching and yawning while doing so. I looked around, taking in my surroundings. Something wasn't right about the apartment. If it was only 11, why in the world was it so dark? I walked over to the window, finding the answer to my question.
The sky outside was almost black, wind whipping around ferociously. I had never been one to enjoy thunderstorms and hated to be alone when one was going on. Oh well, I'd just have to be brave and tough it out alone this time. At the first boom of thunder and crack of lightning I screamed and shut the curtains as fast as humanly possible.
Or maybe not...
