A Lazy Afternoon

Pisces knocked on the door. Cancer opened it and hugged her. They went inside and sat in the living room. "Where's Aries?" Pisces asked. "He's gone to get some stuff at the store", Cancer replied, "You want coffee?" Pisces nodded and said, " Yeah sure. I'll help you". They both got up and went to the kitchen. Just then the doorbell rang. "He's back already?" Cancer wondered and went to open the door. It was Aquarius. "Hey! Sorry I'm late", she said, hugging Cancer. They went back to the kitchen and Cancer started making coffee and putting out some scones while Pisces and Aquarius hugged and sat down in the living room. "So? How's New York treating you?" Aquarius asked. "Oh it's been great. Mostly thanks to all of you guys, the move has been really easy." Pisces replied. Aquarius nodded.

                                       Pisces couldn't help but be a little uncomfortable. She had been thinking about Scorpio ever since they met back at the party. It had been 3 weeks now and still Pisces couldn't get him out of her mind. And now she was here, hanging out with his girlfriend of 3 years and it was really awkward, although she was pretty sure only she felt that way. Pisces decided to shake it off. "So, how is your gallery doing? I heard you have all sorts of art there." She asked Aquarius. "The gallery is doing amazing. We just acquired this beautiful collection of post-impressionist modern painting by a street guy called Vector. It's amazing", Aquarius said. Pisces nodded, "Well I would love to check it out sometime". "Of course. Well its going on the exhibit on Saturday evening, so you can come check it out in the afternoon. You know a pre-opening special tour". "Wow! You would do that for me?" Pisces asked, surprised. "Of course. That's what you get when your friend is the manager of an art gallery. Anything for you babe." Aquarius winked. Just then, Cancer came in with a the coffee and the scones. "Thank you." Aquarius said as she took the cup. Pisces started to settle in. She didn't feel so uncomfortable around Aquarius anymore. Don't screw it up, she thought to herself. The three of them started talking and laughing as the day went by. At one point, Aries came back from his shopping quest. He had decided to harass Pisces into joining the gym all evening. After a while, fed up by his pestering, she agreed to start working out there. The day went by and they hung out, having fun, laughing, joking around. Pisces felt like she was back in college. Old memories started flooding her mind. Particularly one memory. A memory she had forgotten after a night of hard drinking and partying at Aries' house. A kiss. Between her and Scorpio.
