Chapter 2

I had just received the news my mother died and my father abandoned me I couldn't think properly and breathing was becoming an issue but something Sam said got through she said, "I got to get you out of here". I think she meant to get me out of the vault it seemed to kick start my brain, I asked what about her she said she'd be fine I had to leave. She took my hand and started pulling me toward the stairs I stopped her and said I wasn't leaving her behind she said she didn't have a choice she had to stay Cassy cut me off asking why, Sam told her she had to stop her father from doing something rash. Cassy said she would come with me but I told her that I didn't want to get her stuck outside the vault with me she didn't do anything to deserve that she said it would be OK she wanted a little adventure. I agreed and we took of toward the vault door but there were so many guards between us and it but we had to try I didn't have a plan so we just ran. On the way there we got stopped by a guard he tried to beat us with police batons but Noah Sam's brother stopped him by running into his side the guard hit his head on the wall and fell unconscious Noah said that Sam sent him to help I offered to take him with us but he denied he said he had to watch over Sam I thanked him for the assistance and we pushed on. Once we got to the vault door I tried to open it but it required a password that only the overseer knew I used my pipboy to message Sam to get the code but she didn't respond, I knew something was wrong so I input an algorithmic bypass code to track Sam's personal pipboy it indicated she was in the overseers office. I told Cassy to wait at the door she agreed reluctantly while I ran to help Sam I was almost there when I heard shouting I slowed my approach and crouched by the door to eavesdrop, Sam was yelling at her father I peeked in and saw the overseer two guards and Sam tied to a chair. The overseer whispered something into the guards ears and they raised their guns the overseer said aloud that he put the good of the vault over everything even family, I then saw that Noah was tied up behind Sam but he was tagged and beaten. I saw the guards ready their weapons and I sprung into action first I pushed their guns out of the way so they couldn't shoot Sam or Noah next I stomped on the first guards foot and need the other one in the shins last I pushed them into one another tripping them up, the overseer was too busy locking him self in a panic room to notice me beating his guards and saving his children. I untied Sam and Noah they thanked me and Sam kissed me goodbye and I was off on my way back to the vault door and Cassy. I was on my way back and I turned the corner and ran into Carlos the guard who would do anything to get on the overseers good side I ducked past him seeing as I didn't have time for him I just kept running. Once I made it to the vault door I input the password Sam gave me when she kissed me she whispered "Wells Run Deep" I put the code in and Cassy and I were on our way out. Once we hit the dirt on the outside we were safe (bang), as Cassy and I were closing the vault I got shot it went through my side and hit a rock I fell to the ground as I saw Noah tackle officer Carlos and I blacked out.
