Jesse.
"We need to call Jake" Jensen said when we reached the car. "He will help us find
her" He stated getting in the front seat of the car.
"He's out of town." I told him.
"When is he comming back thought?" Blaze asked fom the backseat.
"He's supposed to be here tonight but I'm not so sure anymore." I said remembering
how criptic he had been about leaving. He ussually told me some days before but
this time he just left, I only got a text. Now I wonder where the hell is he.
"So what are we doing now?" Jensen asked staring out the window.
"We have to go take care of something now. I'm taking you home"
"Can't I come?" He asked frowning.
"NO. This is official business."
"Fine" He huffed making me smile. He was such a kid sometimes.
The drive to Jensen's house was really quiet, I don't think anyone knew what to say.
So no one said anything. I was distracted all the way and it's a miracle that I didn't
crash into something . I felt better now knowing that at least she wasn't witht that
bastard anymore. Now we had a lead. We have to start looking in all the hospitals
int he city and we will find her there. If she was as bad as her neighboor said, she
must be in the hospital. Now I was worried for another reason. What will happend
to her now that she couldn't live with her father anymore. Where would she live?
What about school? I know that she has an aunt in Colorado and she has two kids
and her husband. Would they be willing to take her in? Colorado is too far away and
I don't want her to move. I guess my conversation with Jake will more about a lot
more than just finding her. But what if she doesn't want to leave with us? What if
she wanted to go away. I mean I know that what we do is not at all safe for any of
us and we believe that the less people the better, but would that be reason enough
for her to want to move. I have got to talk to Jake first and then i need to talk to
her and see what she wants to do.
I was so distracted that I barly noticed that I was driving up Jensen's block and
that if I had been out of it for another minute I would've missed the house. Pulling
outside of the 12 foot tall gate and rolled down my tinted window.
"Wow, you live here?" Blaze asked in amazement staring at the house from outside the gate.
"Hi Jesse" Tom , the security guard hired by Jake greeted me when I stopped the
car.
"Hey Tom, How's it going?" I asked out of habit because he was the one here
everyday when I came to pick up Jensen.
"You know same ol same ol"
"Anybody home?" I asked him remembering an important detail.
