Kate Sage [ON HOLD]

chapter five

History was so boring. We watched a movie and I sat in my regular spot when people were sitting where ever the heck they wanted. Like crap I could've sat by Michael. 🤓 I was staring at him for half the time anyway. The other half was spent trying to see if he would look at me.😂

Science was also boring asf. Him and I started to doze off. 💤 I don't think I ever fell asleep though. I'm not sure but I was faking it when the bell rang.🛎 To see if he would wake me up, but then I was like if he was sleeping I wouldn't wake him up I'd just laugh.🤔 So I got up and he waited for me outside the door and was like

"Kate hold your arms out!"

"wtf okay."

"On the count of three I'm going to jump in your arms. 1...2-" I cut him off and yanked my arms back down to my sides.

" I don't know what you think I am. I said while I laughed  . " I'm not your mom."

I go to sit down in third period Carmen was sitting in my spot.🙆🏾 I didn't make a big deal because he was right there and I haven't told anyone I like him yet. 🙄 I sat by genesis but I really wanted to sit by him. Basically didn't talk to him the whole period. I was having fun with genesis so I wasn't really complaining.

Class was over and I guess we were walking fast enough to leave Lauren in our dust. It was kinda silent because she usually starts the conversations for me.

Today we went to the library after home room. Which means
"We're sitting boy, girl, boys, girl but only two to a table. " As I say mocking our librarian. So of course I said a little prayer, crossed my fingers, and hoped to sit next to him. And man God is good as I neatly placed all my things in front of him at the table. I heard some whisper my name to then turn around to see Chloe open her fat mouth.
" You always end up by Michael, " she nagged.

In my head I was like it's a sign.

"Yeah... I guess." I responded awkwardly.

I just didn't want him to think I was over joyed to sit by him, that's weird.
When I finished putting all my crap on the table it dawned on me how much work I had to do. I had test corrections, a script thing, and  algebra to do.🖕🏽

Michael's POV.
Kate was doing all this work in the library. So we didn't really talk. She was cleaning out her binder a little bit and I saw her ball up and piece of paper knowing she would throw it at me. I gathered my ammunition and waited for her to strike first. War was declared as she threw the crumbled permission slip. I hide under my jacket waiting to see those big brown eyes looking at me. When she peeked her eyes out of the side of her binder it reminded me how much I liked her. I can't fall for this girl it just isn't right.

Kate's POV.
That smile with those eyes I couldn't take it I know he likes me. You have no idea I didn't want to look him dead in his ocean blue eyes but I was star struck. He put his hoodie over his head and like peeked through it. Jesus that was cute too. 💙
I WAS SO CLOSE TO SITTING NEXT HIM BUT WENDY FRICKED IT UP AND SAT NEXT TO HIM.😡
Like y'all broke up for no reason let me get my chance. Yet again no one ever surrendered the war of trash ball so part two continued in the cafeteria. Throwing pickles and lettuce was the start. Meat from the nachos was next. A small piece was flicked, I  threw it back.

At this point Kate knew she f***ed up

Not too long after turned to see him with a spoon full of school soy nacho meat held back by only his index finger. He lifted his finger ever so slightly as the mart shot out the spoon. It felt like it was coming at me in slow motion but I was glued to my chair. It got all over my face and it went in my nose. At first, it was really funny but then I looked down...it was on my jacket. My brand new Penn State University sweatshirt.

Michael's POV.
At this point I had crossed the line. Scratch that I erased the line, ripped the eraser, and rubbed it in her face. She literally said she wouldn't walk with me in the hall any more. Which was a complete lie thank God. I started to believe her when everyone started to gang up on me. Wendy punched me, Lauren slapped me, and Dillion kicked me in the knee. I was scared out of my mind and it wasn't even from Kate. Gosh sometimes I hate her friends...well our friends.
