chapter fifteen Part:1

Kate's POV.

Yesterday I was talking Jake about Michael because I wanted a guys perspective of the situation. Most of the time he was flirting with me. Its not that I don't like him I just don't think he feels the same way. He's so sweet, caring, and passionate. I'm mean yeah I flirt with him too but it's just us joking around, it's kinda our thing.

The only way to find out how he feels about me is to see what emojis he has by name name. If there aren't any that mean I'm basically worthless. If he has like the sassy girl emoji 💁🏽 then I have a chance. If he has these '❤️🔥😜🔑' I'm in the clear and have a chance.

(The day before)
Jake's POV.

I was so excited to talk to her. We have such different lives. I'm home schooled, she goes to public school. I live in Ohio, she lives in Texas. It would be so much easier to ask her out if she lived here with me. and she always tells me these really funny stories.

Text messages:

Me: Hey!❤️

Kate💏: I got some questions

Me: Alright

Kate💏: what do you do when you like a girl

I hope she's not about to friend zone me. I really like her and she's very important to me.

Me: when I like a girl I'll flirt with her. I'll maybe tease her and to like mess with her. You just have to send the message

Kate💏:okay now I'm going to add I twist so keep up with me.

"JAKE" My mom yelled my name from the kitchen

I sat my phone down becoming oblivious to Kate's text. She called me in the kitchen to do a bunch of random ass chores.

"Jake I need you to iron the windows and sweep the tables." She barked

"Mom do you realize what you just said?"

"Back sass me boy." She said slapping the top of my head for laughing "

It only took about thirty minutes to clean. Walking into my it dawned on me that I was talking to Kate. I hope she's not mad. Thanks mom.

Walking over to the phone I saw three in read texts from her.

Kate💏:but a couple of your friends have already dated her and you could potentially be the third.
Kate💏:what about now
Kate💏:?

Me: sorry I had something to do

Me: I mean if there has been people before u all I can say is just be you. And show him why he should choose u over the others.

I felt bad for replying so late. Hopes she's not mad.

Kate💏: nvm

Shit. I jinked it.

Me: did I do something
Me: listen in sorry K
Me: I feel bad

Kate💏:don't feel bad I'm just stressed

Great she's angry. Wonderful time to ask her out!

Me: I'm here to help. I promise

Kate💏:nah it's just stupid drama idk why it's bothering me so much
Kate💏: what's up with you

Me:nothing

Me: I'm worried about Marry though. She likes some boy and she won't tell me who it is.

Kate💏:I know him we're all really close

Me:oh. Does he mess with her

Kate💏:not in a bad way. They just play around. I guess she wasn't feeling it yesterday

Me:ohhhh

Kate💏:yeah we all have science together
Kate💏:so what have you heard about Michael
