The Rush

Hurry, hurry
They tell you
Deadlines to meet
People to greet
No time to stop
Not till you drop

They squeeze and wring you
They drain and use you
Pause for a breath
Then plunge to your death

The rush, the rush
Where nobody cares
Nobody dares

The hustle, the bustle
The go, go, go
If you're not part of the rush
To the side you'll be brushed

You drive, you thrive
Climb the ladder of success
But once you've done your best
And laid to rest
Who from the rush would care to be there
You're forgotten once you're gone
And the cycle goes on

The rush, the rush
Where nobody cares
Nobody dares

Author's note
Do you ever feel like sometimes everyone demands so much of you? It becomes overwhelming & you almost can't handle ("almost" cause we've all got it in us to keep going).

When I was in high school, I used to feel like school was draining the life out of me (ha ha no I didn't think I was being dramatic). But once you realise that you're working hard for you and pursing your dreams, it makes the burden a blessing.

Keep hustling!
