Chapter 2.

I woke that morning with Harmony sprawled across the bed. I knew I should have made her sleep in one of the guest rooms. I got up and rubbed at my aching back. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth before heading downstairs.

Melodie was still sleeping and Ian was absentmindedly playing with her hair, watching some weird show.

"Good morning" I said cautiously

"Hey!" he looked at me, kissed Mel on her forehead and followed me into the kitchen." I was going to make breakfast but I thought it would be rude" I looked at him

"When has that ever stopped you?" I asked and he laughed

"True, but still." he said giving me a look asking if he could cook

"Go ahead but I will make the coffee"

An hour or so later he had bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage, and all the normal breakfast foods sitting on the table.

We called everyone, and Harmony patted his shoulder

"Wow I'm impressed you are actually good for something." she paused and put a piece of bacon in her mouth. "Good thing it's cooking because my sister can't cook to save her life" Harmony said smugly. We all sat down and started eating.

Melodie and I cleaned up while Ian watched TV. Harmony sat there looking at a culinary arts magazine.

"Okay Harmony and I are going to the mall. What are you to gonna do?" I asked Mel and Ian

They looked at each other and nodded

"We shall go mini golfing" Ian said, pretending to hit an imaginary golf ball.

"Okay, that's cool. Are we all coming back here or what?" Harmony asked

"Yes." Mel, Ian and I said in unison

I got out of the shower and put on my clothes. A black jacket, white blouse, skinny jeans, and some black heels that are to die for. While Harmony had on a white mini skirt, a pink shirt and some pink heels that had strings that tied all the way up to her knee.

"Are you ready?" I asked her

"Yeah let's go" she glanced in the mirror smoothed her hair and walked outside

We were driving, the music playing then suddenly Harmony turned it down

"Okay, if someone was to come up to you at the mall would you talk to them?"

"Yeah. The only time I'm like super shy is at school, like, I don't like talking to the kids at school... I can talk to teachers without a problem and stuff like that, it's weird."

"Huh that is weird, okay, well we will work on stuff" she said leaning towards the mirror, very cautiously applying her lip gloss.

"I have a question for you." I said, and she nodded. "While you're 'working on me' who do you like?" I saw her cheeks turn bright pink, making me laugh a bit.

"Umm, I don't really know. I haven't thought about it"

"Uh huh, okay. I believe you" she just looked at me and went back to her lip gloss. I swear she goes through like 50 bottles a week.

We were in Hot Topic and I was looking at the CDs while Harmony was looking at the necklaces. It was obviously not her kind of place; she was more of a Claire's or Tinkerbelle kind of girl.

When I was satisfied with the CDs in my hand, I started towards the register. I felt someone brush past me. I turned around and saw Micheal smiling at me.
