Becoming friends pt4

Hi guys! Sorry for the absence but I'm back! You guys seem to really like this series so here's more of it! I added in a new character so I hope you like him! Enjoy!!

The next morning they decided that they needed to go to the grocery store to get some food. "We don't have anything to eat!" Dan whined from kitchen. "Well then, let's go to the store." Phil said clearly not wanting to put up with Dan today. They all got dressed and put on their shoes getting ready to leave, thinking of what they wanted to buy at the store. All the sudden there was a knock on the door. Dan said that he would answer and walked to the door. When he answered the door he saw the face of a rather short man with brown hair that was wearing mostly black. "Can I help you?" Dan asked the small man. "No, I just wanted to annoy you." The man said sarcastically. "The names Drew, I'm the landlord." He said not looking amused. Dan raised an eyebrow, questioning the strange man who at his front door. "Can I come in, I need to check if you are fit to stay in the house for another six months." Drew said still clearly not amused. "Yes, sir, come in." Dan said slightly frightened.

After Drew walked around for about twenty one minutes he saw nothing odd about the state of the house. It was clean, organized, and most important nothing was destroyed. "Well boys, you can stay in the house. It's in good condition and you've keep it pretty clean." Drew said. Dan  smiled this means they wouldn't have to find a new place to live. "So, who are you?" Drew said turning to Sophie. "I'm a friend." She answered carefully. "Okay, did they tell you the rules of the house?" Drew asked sighing. "Yeah I'm good with rules and things like that." Sophie said. After Drew left they got in the car and started to drive to the grocery store. On the way they started talking about what happened and joked around. "I'm glad he didn't find my secret stash of chick-flicks!" Phil said laughing. Everyone in the car burst out in laughter and Dan saying that he knew there was something Phil had been keeping from him. When they got to the store everyone went their separate ways to find what they needed. Sophie grabbed a pack of Dr. Pepper and some bags of chips that were only slightly crushed. Dan got a season of a show he thought looked good along with a bunch of snacks. Josh just wondered around finding things he thought looked good. After a while he bumped in to someone, causing. Josh to fall. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" A voice rang out. When he looked up he was staring into the face of someone he had never seen before. "Okay, okay, sorry!" Phil said back to the man that was shorter than him. But, let's face it, everyone is shorter than Phil. He walked to meet the other two without incident.
