Wattpad is being mean, but here's chapter one..

But before I begin, I'd like to say that this is all a fanfiction. I came up with just about none of this. IT was all John Green (thanks :) haha!)

Here you go!

CHAPTER ONE

I strap on my prostetic leg. I've just woken up and Isaac will be coming in about half an hour. That should leave just enough time for me to eat whatever my mom decided to make for breakfast and get ready to go to this suppport group he's been telling me about. i take a deep breathe in to see if I can smell her cooking. I dont smell anything though.

After I've finished messing with my "leg" I get dressed. These jeans and plain red tee shirt should do nicely.  I pull a random pair of plain white socks out of my drawer and walk over to my closet. I pick up the first pair of shoes that I see: my dirty old low top navy blue converse, put them on and walk up stairs.

"Augustus, sweety, I made you eggs. They're sittting on the table," my mom tells me.

"Kay. Thanks," I reply.

Knock, knock, knock, knock I hear and begin walking towards the door. Standing outside is Isaac. "Hey." he says as I open the door.

"Let's go." I get in the driver's seat in my car and Isaac climbs in the passenger seat. "Monica said she'd give me a ride home," he tells me.

""I figured," I mumble as I turn  the key in the ignition. As I pull out my mom screams, "Be careful, Gus!" I just look at her and nod.

The whole way there Isaac goes on and on about this surgery he's preparing for. I let him go on, but mainly because he's going to be blind, but cancer free. He already has one glass eye, but it's still a big adjustment. At least he won't have cancer any more.

When we finally reach this church where the support group meetings are held Isaac shows me around. There is a snack table over by a wall in the church. I walk over and graba cookie and walk back to the wall where Isaac has already started a conversation with a couple of friends, so I just pull up one of those little chairs that we human beings used when we were in third grade. It's way too small for me, but I have walked around quite a bit today. I should sit.

my cookie is now a crumb on my finger so I brush off my hand on my real leg. The meeting will start over in the middle of the church in about two minutes, so I jsut look around, not really moving anything but my eyes when all of a sudden, I have to do a double-take. Wow! She is beautiful! I think. Her she has dirty-blond hair, somewhat wavy, but srtaight for the most part. She doesn't notice my checking her out; she just walks over to the snack table and picks up a cookie. She turns around. She knows I was looking.
