"What happened?" I sat down beside Sergio.

"Someone kicked my ankle as I did a turn," he said. Then he looked up at David. "David, Boss will be angry. Go back."

"You're alright, man?" David asked.

"I will be," he said.

David nodded before leaving the clinic. "See ya, bro!"

"Sergio," I moved myself to the end of the couch. "We're gonna need to take your spikes off."

He looked at me confused before he nodded. "Right. I forgot."

As I reached for his laces, he told me not to. "It's okay, Doctora." He then continued to unlace his boot before pulling it off, then slightly groaning in pain. Then he pulled his sock off, and then his shin guard.

"I need you to tell me when it hurts," I told him as I pulled on gloves.

"Yeah," he said.

I pushed against his foot several times, each time with a new position and angle.

"It hurts!" he bit on his fist as I pressed the fourth time. "There, in the ankle."

"It's swelling a bit," I told him.

He shook his head. "I can't... how long will I be out?"

"I don't know yet," I said.

He covered his face with his hands. "There's the Arsenal match this Wednesday, I can't miss that."

"You might have to, Sergio," I said. "We just need to hope that this is not broken. Maybe it's just twisted."

"How long will that take to heal?"

"More than just a day, Sergio."

"So that's that? I'm missing the Arsenal match?"

"Yes."

He cursed under his breath as he sighed. "Today has been so, so, so bad."

"What else has happened besides this?" I asked, and immediately wished I hadn't.

He bit his lip and shook his head. "I found out Emily was cheating on me this morning," he said.

"Sergio, I'm so sorry," I said.

"Why don't you hate me?" he asked. "I was such a jerk to you, Sara."

"Let's run some tests," I ignored his question and stood up. "C'mon."

He stood up as well and slung his arm around me as we walked over to the other side of the clinic.

"Please," Sergio prayed out loud, "don't let it be broken."

Sergio's ankle situation could have been much worse. Thankfully, he had only just twisted it.

"A week?" Sergio asked me. "Sara, you're joking."

"I'm not, Sergio," I said. "And it could've been worse. Stop whining."

He groaned.

I rolled my eyes. "Now, please keep quiet as I'm trying to write a report for your boss to read."

"I hate it so much," he laid down and covered his face. "Why, why, why?"

I ignored Sergio's whimpers and complaints as I filled up his report.

"Doctora!" David reentered the doors of the clinic. "How is my amigo?"

"Should be alright," I mumbled. He then walked over to Sergio, and they started talking.

Pellegrini soon followed, "Doctor Cacéres, I hope your first day wasn't very difficult."

"It wasn't, Boss," I assured him. "I finished his report."

"Is it serious?" he asked as I handed it to him. "A week," he muttered disappointedly as he read it.

"Sorry, Boss," Sergio said.

"Looks like we're starting Wilfried," Pellegrini sighed. "Doctor, can Sergio walk?"

"He can," I said before walking to the closet and pulling out a cane. David took it from me.

"He cane," he nudged Sergio lightly before handing it to him. When nobody laughed, he just cleared his throat and acted as if he hadn't said a word.

"Agüero, Silva," Pellegrini said. "Follow me, we're going to have a team meeting. Cacéres, join if you like."

"I'm content staying here, but thank you," I nodded at him.

"I just need to ask Sara something," Sergio said.

Pellegrini raised his eyebrow, "Be there in a minute."

He and David walked out of the clinic.

"Sara," Sergio looked at me. "You... you... you have a boyfriend?"

"I do," I said. "We've been together for more than a year."

"How long have you been in Manchester?" he asked.

"Sergio," I said, "we can catch up some other time. You have a meeting."

"Can you walk with me to the locker room?" he asked me.

I zipped up my bag and thought for a moment. "Fine."
