Sara agreed to walk with me to the locker room. We were going to have a team meeting.

"How long have you been in Manchester?" I asked her.

"Bit more than a year," she said.

I nodded, "Your English is very good. Better than mine."

She laughed, "You know I was studying it once you moved here."

"You were?"

"Yes, so we could communicate with two languages," she said, "but it was supposed to be a surprise."

I nodded. "So you have a new boyfriend?"

"He showed me around when I first moved in," she grinned, as if the thought of him was the best thing in the world. "His name is Mark. He's amazing."

I struggled to keep myself together, "I'm sure he is. It's what you deserve."

She nodded, somehow not losing it at all. "Thank you, Sergio. How has life been treating you?"

"Today has been bloody terrible."

She blushed, "Right. I forgot."

"I'll get through it," I tried to say without choking, but I was unsuccessful.

"I know you will, Serg."

We walked into the locker room, where Pellegrini was already in the middle of his talk. Sara stayed by the door as I made my way towards the boys.

"In other news," Pellegrini scowled as he looked at me, "Sergio has twisted his ankle. Although he will only be out for a few days, I do think this is a serious matter because of the Arsenal game two days from now. Bony, you will start then."

"Yes, boss," Wilfried nodded.

Pellegrini rubbed his head as if he was warding off a headache. "Oh, and I forgot to congratulate you lads on the win at Southampton. Do the same against Arsenal."

"Yes, boss," I said along with everybody else

We were dismissed, and I walked over to my gym bag. I was so eager to get home and just try to forget everything that had happened today.

Then, I felt a good, hard slap on my back.

"Mate," Joe said. "Was originally planning to take you out for a few drinks tonight, but I'm positive Pellegrini'll have our heads come tomorrow. What do you say, after the Arsenal game?"

I laughed. "Maybe."

"Well, you see," he shrugged. "You're going whether you like it or not."

I nodded as he slung his bag over his shoulder and walked to the showers.
