"Lads, we've landed back in Manchester."

Once everybody was awake, we gathered all of our stuff and stepped off the plane.

As we all walked to the waiting area, Pellegrini announced stuff like Arsenal game on Wednesday, training at three this afternoon, and some other stuff that I was too groggy to translate for myself.

"Dude, come on," David tugged on my jacket, "am I taking you home or not?"

"Yeah, yeah," I said, shaking myself awake and remembering my text conversation with Emily yesterday.

Emily ❤: Babe, don't think I can pick you up from the airport tomorrow. Not feeling well.

You: Ok. I'll ask David. Get well soon, princesa. Can't wait to see you! I love you ❤❤

Emily ❤: I can't wait to see you, too!!! Love you ❤❤

Once I got into David's friend's car, I don't remember anything but falling back asleep. I had insane trouble sleeping the night before, and having to wake up at four to catch the plane didn't help my situation.

"We're here," David shook me.

My eyes quickly opened and I shook myself awake once more. "Okay. Thanks mate."

"No problem," he slapped the back of my head as I got out of his car.

Fanny, my maid, greeted me at the door. "Welcome back home, I hope you are delighted with the result you got!"

"," I nodded and went inside."Emily!"

"Emily isn't here," Fanny said, locking the door behind us, "she left last night."

"She said she was sick," I said, incredibly confused.

She shrugged, "I don't know. She left at eight last night. She left her phone, though. It was buzzing nonstop when I went to bed."

"That's why she wasn't picking up," I nodded, picking her phone up from the table.

"You should've rang the telephone to check," she said.

"Didn't come to mind."

"And it buzzed a few times more just before you came," Fanny said. "I thought it none of my business, so I didn't look. Do you need anything?"

"A glass of water, please."

I unlocked her phone to see six unread messages and four missed calls.

From: Sergio
Princesa, you aren't answering? Pls let me know youre ok. Love you.

From: Sergio
At the airport. See you in a few hours, I love you.

Those were the ones from me. The other four were from someone called Alexander, whom I never heard of in my entire life.

From: Alexander
Thanks for another great night, Emily. Next week again, your place? He won't be home, I know. XX

I felt my blood starting to boil as I read that text. My mind jumped to the worst conclusions. Then I read the next three.

From: Alexander
Babe, you haven't texted. I told you to text when you're home. Are you okay?

From: Alexander
Please tell me that you've read these and then delete them IMMEDIATELY. I love you, I don't want us to get found out, I don't want you to get hurt.

From: Alexander
Emily, babe, stop playing games. Tell me that you're home, please. XX.

Once I heard the door being unlocked, I deleted all the texts from Alexander that I had just read and locked Emily's phone.

"Sergio, you're home!" my girlfriend's voice filled my ears.

I almost wanted to smile as she wrapped her arms around me. "I was just at Mum's, she told me to see her when she heard I was sick."

"Why didn't you text me, princesa?" I asked.

"I forgot to, and when I remembered I realised I left my phone here," she reached for her phone behind me.

"Did you miss me?" I smirked, continuing to play along.

"Of course I did, babe," she said. "I'd kiss you right now if I wasn't sick."

I pressed my lips on her cheek, near her ear. I kissed her before whispering, "Emily, who is Alexander?" I moved away from her.

She turned red, "Alexander?"

"Does he stay at your Mum's place?" I asked, "Because it's not possible you were two places at once."

"Sergio, I--"

"Yeah, Emily?" I asked, "I know, okay? Stop lying to me. Who is Alexander and when did you start seeing him?"

She sighed and looked away.

"Answer me."

"I was at Mum's, Sergio."

"Sure," I said coldly. "And you will be very soon. I'm done with this, Emily."

"Sergio, you're not breaking up with me--"

"I am," I snapped, "have a good life. I don't want to see you here when I get home from training this afternoon."
