I wave goodbye to my best college friend and roommate since freshman year as I strolled through the library doors. Pretty much the whole senior body was here, studying for final exams that were coming in two weeks. Almost four years had flown by since Peyton left, so I was now almost 22. I was pretty happy actually, my life was coming together.
Except there was that piece missing, Peyton. I missed him each and every day. We attempted to keep in touch by writing each week, but it turned out he was extremely busy with his military stuff and I was busy with college. So he couldn’t write every week, or even every month. I’m actually lucky to get a letter once a year. In fact, the last one I got was last Christmas. It was May now.
Everyone else was doing well, Liv has had a boyfriend for about a year now and Ash was engaged! Liv and Ash stopped going on tour with various bands about 6 months ago when Ash proposed, so liv didn’t want to go on tour alone. So now she was living with her boyfriend. Fudge was still adorable and cuddly, so that’s good.
In case you were wondering, I’m not dating. I don’t want to date anyone since the only boy I wanted to date was more than 10,000 miles away. Or something like that.
Unzipping my backpack, I take out my textbooks and start studying my biology notes for the final. The work is pretty simple, it’s just there’s a it. College life is exhausting, I liked it though. We were like a giant family, much unlike high school.
I yawned as my eyes skimmed over the textbook, as I said- college was exhausting. I sighed and switched textbooks, taking out my English one.
An hour later I smiled in satisfaction since I finished studying. I took a deep breath and looked around, pretty much our whole student body was here now, cramming for finals.
I stood up but found a post-it note on my backpack, guess I hadn’t noticed it before.
Seems familiar, huh?
I took in a sharp breath, no, it couldn’t be. Another one identical to it sat next to it.
I know it seems crazy, but turn around.
“Hey Lex.” An oh so familiar voice said. I turned around to be faced by Peyton, who was still in his military uniform.
I didn’t say anything; I just jumped onto him, latching my legs around his waist and arms around his neck. He laughed as I placed my lips on mine, melting when the familiar soft lips moved in sync with mine. I felt everyone’s eyes on us, like at the airport almost 4 years ago, but I didn’t care. All that mattered was he and I.
Authors Note: Dedicated to rosie_booknerd since she was pretty much the first dedicated reader on this story.
Okay so I just have to say, writing this book was amazing. I’ve gotten so many more reads, votes, and comments I could’ve ever expected. I almost have 1000 reads! It’s been amazing writing this book, I’ve gotten more success from this and it’s only my first book! I have a few fanfictions on the works and I’m contemplating ideas for a new original. Thank you all for sticking and reading this book even though it’s seriously not the best. My next books will be much better, so if you like those remember to read my next books. My next book is a PTV fanfiction, but you don’t even need to know who PTV is to understand it. So please check that our, I’ll be posting the prologue soon. Love you all, Kimmie out!
