"Hey, Ringo, wake up," I heard as someone shook me awake. I squinted my eyes to see George staring at me in the dark room, the only light from the hallway.
"George, it's still dark. What on earth could you need me for at this hour?"
George smiled and pounced on me. He grabbed me and pulled me into a tight hug; he smelled like in-scents and ciggies.
"I'm taking you somewhere special today," he said, caressing my hair.
I wiggled out of his grasp, slightly weirded out by his touch and embrace. Even though I've always sort of had a thing for George, I really didn't want to believe it. I'm not homophobic, it's just George is one of me best mates.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
George grinned his adorable fanged grin. "Oh, you'll see. C'mon, get dressed."
I sighed and George made his way out of me room. I dressed and combed my hair. George waited for me in the kitchen. I looked at the clock. 7:00 am. God, this better be good.
I grabbed a banana as we made our way out the door. We got in George's car and sped off into the sunrise.

                               *************
Two hours later, and we're almost to our destination. George tells me to close my eyes, and I obey. A few minutes later, he yells, "Open them gorgeous blue eyes!" I open them and see Disneyland in my sight. I guess it would help to mention we rented a house in California on the coast for vacation. And now he drove me all the way to Anaheim for a mouse. That George, I'll tell ya.
"What do you think?" He asked as we parked.
"I think you've lost your mind. I'm not your son, and you drove me all the way here for Mickey Mouse and tea cups?" I laughed.
George looked a little hurt. "I've always wanted to go here...and it's the anniversary of when we've met..thought we'd do something fun.."
I felt bad. "Awh, George, I really appreciate this. C'mon, let's go have some fun."
George perked up and we walked to the front gate. We put on hats and sunglasses to be less noticeable. It was working for now, luckily. And George picked a weekday, so there was less people.
The first ride we went on was the Alice In Wonderland ride. We laughed about how John would love this ride, and how Yoko resembled the Queen of Hearts. The ride was a blast.
Next, we went on the Teacups, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Fantasyland Autopia, and It's A Small World in Fantasyland. We went on other rides like Peter Pan and The Matterhorn. Around noon, we stopped at one of the stands to get lunch. Of course, George got a sandwich. I decided to have some pizza.
After lunch, we sat on a grassy area, letting our food settle and drinking our soda pop before going on Jungle Cruise.
"This has been fun, hasn't it George?"
"Yeah, it really has. I'm glad I thought of this."
I laughed. "Me too. What a grand idea! Look at the castle, George. It's magnificent."
George rested his head on my shoulder. "It is, Richie."
I tensed up. He has never called me that. Only my girlfriends have. He felt I was tense, and lifted his head off me. "Sorry," he said quietly.
"George..is there something you want to tell me?"
George sighed. "Ringo, I've liked you for a long time. I felt like us being alone together and me taking you here might make it easier to show it."
I was flattered. "George, you don't need to bring me to the house of mouse or the beach to prove your liking of me. You could've told me. I feel the same."
George gently touched my hand. "Well, I wanted this anyways. It's perfect."
I nodded in agreement. Of course, in 1968, men holding hands wouldn't be the most culturally excepted. So, after the rest of our fine day, we drove home, and I held George in my arms as we slept in the rented bed, the sea breeze blowing in through the window.

(A\N Sorry this one was long. I just love description and I hope you thought this was cute!)
