January twenty-five
I love this time of the year.JJ (Jonior Jankanoo).I was not a participant for this year I just wanted to stay on the side to what others.the sound of the cowbell echoed in my ear.The sound of the trumpets made my eardrums dance while the drums matched my heartbeat.The sparkles on the dancers danced along with every move they made.the costumes made me want to join again but seeing these people carrying these heave shoulder pieces made me want to stay on the side and just watch.
I should of listened, when mom said to carry a sweater in the car.oh how cold I was before I met my friends that night.thank God.I was in the middle.Gina was in my right and Andy was to my left.they both brought their jackets.Oh how stupid I was.
Every body look good but, as usual I look the best.I had on a blue shirt that matched my blue shoes and a white pant that matched my white earing.I also paited my fingers with white publish.I wore my silver BOSS chain to complete the look.Did I forgot to say my BOSS chain matched with the diamonds in front of my shirt.I wore my hair down and only had face powder and lip gloss on.
Andy wanted some cotton candy and we all went with her.we also met the rest of the girls there.I had a blue cotton candy.of course every thing have to match on me.Denicia,Tasha and Ruth had pink cotton candies.I couldn't believe it those girls hate pink.Vinese, Andy and Gina had the same color as me.
We all eat our candies and walked around all night.
A lot of people eyes was on us, some even say that we were the cotton candy scrawd.which obvious was true. A few guys wanted to make was checking us out but I wasn't paying attention to them.I dnt know for the other girls but I was thinking about Joe.I wish he was there but he was too busy working.I borrowed Denicia's cell phone to call Joe but he didn't pick up.hearing his voice would brighten up my night but it was the other way around.I look good in the outside but in the inside I fell sad and lonely.if he had pick up the phone and just said 'HELLO',I was going to feel better.
I told my friends about Joe and the once that had boyfriend told us about there's too.some moments got emotional and some were just too funny to not laught.it was getting late so mom and Dad looked for me so we could go home.when I was about to enter the car I saw Saidah and her sister Sofia.
"Hey Dina".they both hailed me.
"Hey girls".I said with a smile entering the car.
They both waved at me and I waved back at them saying goodbye.
"You had fun?"dad ask my brothers and I.
"Yes sir".we all said sounding like a choir.when I woke up,dad was pulling in the back yard.we all went inside and I throw my self on my bed.
