3 Months Later

I was asleep in the living room when I heard the door open. My eyes shot open and I grabbed on to my shotgun. I put it to the person's head.

"Whoa, hey!" Josh yelled.

"Geez, sorry," I muttered and lowered the gun.

"Have you heard from Junior or Lily?" Josh came to the bedroom.

"No. I was hoping you knew where they are."

Josh sighed. I am finally alone with him. I stepped up behind him and wrapped my arms around his torso. "I take it we had the same idea." He turned and smirked.

I felt him pick me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. Our lips collided and we didn't break a part. I felt Josh push me up against the wall and I ran my hand through his hair. A moan escaped Josh's mouth as I wrestled my tongue with his.

I couldn't believe this was happening right now.

Josh kept me in his embrace. We lie on the bed as I ran a hand over Josh's bare chest. "I've noticed that you and Junior are getting along again." I said.

Josh chuckled. "What do you mean 'again'?"

I shrugged. "I noticed before the Colonies went to hell, you and he were getting into major arguments. Some were even physical."

"That's in the past. I was trying to protect you because you were scared of him. Something did change in him."

I sighed and noticed Josh's scar. I ran a hand over it. "I was so afraid that you were dead." I muttered.

Josh looked at me confused. "What do you mean?"

"When that guy shot you. He could've killed you." I looked up at Josh. He pulled me close and kissed my forehead.

"I could never leave you. You are the one person I care most about. I know how to survive anything. There's nothing to fear. There is something I want to tell you." Josh adjusted himself to face me. "I love you so much Cass. If I never met you, I'd probably be dead. You are my savior." Tears stung my eyes.

"You're my savior, too." I blinked back the tears in my eyes.

Josh kissed my lips gently. I felt him pull me close to him and I began to feel drowsy. Josh was playing with my hair as I fell asleep in his embrace.

A scream awoke me from my sleep. Josh woke up too. He got up and threw his shirt on. I did the same. We ran out and saw Lily holding the door shut. I looked at her when I saw a red liquid on her.

"Lily," I whispered. "What the hell happened? What are you covered in?"

Lily locked the door and backed away from it. She looked down. Tears were falling followed by streams of dirt. "Blood." She whispered.

"'Blood'?" I stepped towards her and she backed off.

"Lily," Josh stepped towards her and grabbed her hands. "Whose blood is that?"

"J – Junior's," she stuttered. "It's Junior's blood." She whispered and looked at me.

"Junior's dead?" I asked and Josh stepped back towards me.

Lily looked down in shame. "I couldn't help him. They got to him before I could."

"Damn it." I said. "Ellery did this."
