Chapter 4
Morning...
Skye POV
I woke up, and decided to wake Riker up before he started screaming. I was still in his arms from last night. I turned towards him, and shook his shoulder gently.
"Riker."
His eyes snapped open, and he stared at me, looking slightly scared.
"Hey, you're ok," I said, taking his hand.
He sighed, closed his eyes, and squeezed my hand.
"Did you have a nightmare?"
"Kind of..."
"I'm sorry..."
"You woke me up at the beginning of it though."
"Oh..."
Riker dropped my hand, and wrapped his arms around me, sighing.
"Do you want to go get breakfast?" I asked.
"No... My stomach kind of hurts actually..."
"Oh..."
"My therapist says that I could have digestive problems from being scared and stuff. And I just don't really feel like eating right now."
I nodded.
"I get it..."
After laying in bed for a while, everyone else in the house woke up, and went downstairs to eat.
"Riker, I know you're not hungry, or you don't want to eat or whatever, but I do. Will you come downstairs with me?"
"Ok..."
We held hands as we walked downstairs. I made a bowl of cereal, and sat down at the counter. Riker sat with me until I was finished.
"So what do you want to do today?" I asked Riker.
"Um... I don't know."
"How about we go somewhere. Like the mall."
"Ok."
"Isn't the mall like 5 minutes from here?"
"Yeah."
"Then let's go."
I pulled Riker back upstairs.
"Go get dressed. I'll meet you downstairs in 10 minutes," I said.
"Ok."
Riker POV
I changed into blue skinny jeans, a black shirt, and a light blue hoodie. I didn't feel like putting my contacts in, so I just kept my glasses on. I grabbed my wallet, and then met Skye downstairs.
"Are we going to walk there?" I asked.
"Yeah, why not? It's close enough."
"Ok."
I walked with Skye down the sidewalk. I had her hand in mine. It's not that I was scared or anything. Just kind of nervous...
Once we got to the mall, Skye chose where to go. We went to some clothing stores first.
Later...
Skye POV
Something seemed off with Riker. I couldn't tell what it was, but something was definitely off. We were in Target right now, and we'd just split up to go look at clothes, but I felt like I needed to go find him. Something just felt wrong.
