Epilogue
Months later...
Skye POV
Riker had been doing amazing since that one day in Florida. It was like he was back to his old self again. He hadn't had panic attacks, nightmares, and he wasn't so scared all the time. I could tell he'd been a little nervous with some things, but not so nervous he'd start crying or anything.
He had a new hobby of scaring his brothers, saying he was getting them back for all the times they scared him. He was nice about it though.
I love seeing how happy he always was.
Right now he was playing videogames. I was sitting on a couch with Rydel, opposite from him, Rocky, and Ross.
"Ha! We beat you, Riker!" Ross shouted.
"Ugh!"
Riker playfully pushed Ross's shoulder. Rocky started tickling him, and Ross joined in.
"Rydel! Skye! Come help us!" Rocky said.
Rydel and I came over.
"No! No, please! I can't take it!" Riker said, laughing.
"Fine, we'll leave you to Skye," Rocky said.
"No! Anything but her! She knows all my weak spots!"
Rocky, Ross, and Rydel all left. I stared down at Riker.
"Don't even try to run," I said, smirking.
Riker smiled, and I started tickling him. After about a minute, Riker finally got the strength to grab my arms.
"Now what are you going to do?" Riker asked, out of breath.
I climbed onto his lap.
"I don't know, but I guess we're both stuck now."
I leaned forwards, and kissed his nose, making him giggle.
"If you let me go, I'll give you a kiss on the lips," I said, staring into his eyes.
"Deal!"
Riker let go of my hands, but instead of kissing him, I started tickling him again.
"Hey! N-no! AH! Skye! I'm dying! Where's my k-kiss!?" Riker asked between giggles.
"You fall for this every time, Riker."
"I just wanted a kiss!"
"Mmmm... I don't know that I want to kiss you..."
"What!?"
"Maybe another time..."
I stopped tickling Riker, got off him, and walked a few steps away, towards the windows. I felt Riker behind me.
"Hey, I want my kiss," Riker said, pouting.
"You're such a child."
Riker took my hands in his, making me smile.
"Kiss me?" Riker asked.
We both leaned in, but I turned my head at the last second so he got my cheek instead of lips.
"Hey! Not fair!" Riker whined.
I loved teasing him.
I giggled and ran up the stairs to his bedroom. I locked him out.
"Hey! This is my own room! Let me in!" Riker said, knocking on the door.
"Never!" I said, trying to hold back laughs.
"I intend to get my kiss!"
"Good luck."
I sat on Riker's bed, waiting to see what he'd do. The whole house was pretty much silent. After a few minutes, I got up from his bed, and went to the door. I crouched down, looking through the crack under the door.
"Gotcha!"
I turned around, and Riker was standing on his bed.
"What!? How'd you...?"
I noticed his window was open.
"What'd you do!? Climb on the roof!?"
"Maybe!"
Riker walked closer, making me back up to the wall. He put his hands on the wall, each one a few inches from my head. He was standing there, staring into my eyes, smiling.
"You're trapped. I believe you owe me one kiss."
I laughed.
"Alright, fine."
Riker leaned in and kissed me on the lips.
Our lives were perfection.
The end.
