Chapter 6

Later...

Riker POV

I walked out of my therapist's office, holding a prescription. I handed it to my mom, and fell into Skye's arms, trying not to cry.

"Riker, how was it?"

"Awful."

"Why?"

"I have to take pills."

"Oh... But they'll help you."

"I don't care. I hate taking pills."

"Riker, it'll be ok."

My mom went to go speak with the therapist for a few minutes before we left. I stayed in Skye's arms until we left.

My mom stopped at the nearest pharmacy so she could pick up my pills. When we got back home, the power was still out. And now that it was later, it was kind of dark, which made me feel somewhat uneasy.

"Riker."

"AHH!"

I turned around after dropping my phone. Skye was standing in my doorway.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

I sighed, and picked up my phone. Luckily, I'd only dropped it on the bed.

"Your mom says we're going out for dinner. She can't exactly cook much with no power."

It was still raining out, so I grabbed an umbrella after slipping on my shoes. We all got in the car, and were driven to the restaurant.

We went to a pizza place.

Later...

Riker POV

Tomorrow was school. And I was scared. What if I had a panic attack?

I'd taken a pill that was prescribed for me before bed. But I didn't know what it'd do to me.

"Riker."

"WHAT!?"

I turned around quickly and saw Skye.

"Sorry I scared you..."

I sighed.

"It's ok. What's up?"

"Just came in to say goodnight..."

"Oh."

Skye came over and hugged me. I pulled her onto my bed next to me.

"Worried for tomorrow?" Skye asked.

"Yeah... What if I have a panic attack?"

"I'm sure you won't. Did you even have one today?"

"I don't think so."

"Good. I'm sure you'll be fine."

Skye tried to leave, but I wouldn't let her.

"Stay with me tonight?"

"Riker, I seriously need my sleep."

"Please?"

"Riker."

"Please?"

"Isn't it kind of inappropriate?"

"Skye... You know I'd never do anything. I just want you next to me in case something happens."

Skye sighed.
