"Err... yes." I replied awkwardly.

"This time I'm not dreaming, right? Is it really possible? I mean someone in your dream come alive about a week later? Or wasn't it a dream at all? Did that really happen?" Thousands of questions swirled inside my head.

"I'll get him." I turned back into the house with my still uneasy expression.

"Um, do I know you? We haven't met before, right?" I added turning to him again.

"I don't think so." He said raising his eyebrows.

"Hmm..." I went inside to fetch Adam. He was polishing his shoes. He had to attend an old pupils' meeting in the morning. "Is he an old school friend?" I wondered. That can't be. He had some papers in his hand.

"Sue Hansel! What are you doing! Don't you have anything else to do other than wondering about a stupid boy? Why do you get this much excited? You don't know anything about him. If he comes to meet Adam, that means he's no better than him."

"Duh," I muttered to myself climbing the steps and entering my room. But still, I couldn't get it out of my mind, did I dream or not? Why my life becoming complicated suddenly?

"Forget it Sue. He said that you haven't met before." I told myself loudly closing the door behind.

"Did she really recognize me?" I wondered watching her moving away. How comes it possible? I've never met anyone who can defy my charms. I'm sure I gave her a command to forget what happened. May be I was too obsessed with being close to her. Did I forget to wipe off her memories of that evening, the one I couldn't control myself? I know, it's stupid trying to get closer to the one you are bound to protect. But I really couldn't help it. She has a bewitching power radiating. I don't know if it's her body, blood or soul. I guess it's her soul that the attraction is too irresistible.

"Hey," Adam came drying his wet hands with a towel. "You brought the notes?" he asked me wearing a grin.

I met Adam while surfing, it was not accidental. I used the past week effectively making some new friends, and specially Adam among them. I'm pretty good at surfing. I don't need to use my enchantments to make friends.

"Yep, here is the complete note in Introductory Engineering Mathematics." I handled the quite heavy bundle of papers.

I climbed on to the window sill, holding the top rail with one of my hands. The large bay window consisted with three wide casement windows with tinted glass planes. The window seat was beautifully cushioned with dark purple velvet covers that matched to the pale colour of the room. I managed getting on to the sill without doing much damage to the spotless white paint. The key has fallen onto the thin slab of concrete just one and half metre or so below the window. Careless me! I cursed myself peeping. I really shouldn't have put that on the window sill. I sat swinging my legs for a moment before taking the long stick I found from uncle Hank's garage. But that was not going to do the job. Less than few centimetres separated the tip of the stick and the key tag. If I lean a bit more...

The next moment I found myself flying from the window sill and I tried pathetically to hang onto something although my hands caught only the gushing air. I closed my eyes tightly knowing the awaiting pain to wrap myself from the fall. Suddenly I hit something hard causing stars to erupt from my vision. I tried to come to a sitting position giving my hands a force which I found impossible followed by a painful sting.
